  1. He said a while back that he is playing one up top because he needs the box midfield in order to not get overrun. Personally I don’t think we need 3 at the back. Ogle, Raglan, Monthe and Caprice would do for me. I’d like us to have a left footed winger who can cut in off the right as still think we’re a bit imbalanced
  2. Think his confidence was shot in that first season playing in a midfield that couldn’t retain possession and treated the ball like a hot potato. Conlon isn’t the most dynamic but I think him, Ogle, Jez and Monthe are bringing a calmness to the squad by being comfortable with the ball.
  3. Made the mistake of passing to Charsley who then hoofed it out of play a few times.
  4. I’ve sung his praises so hope he’s a success otherwise I’ll be asking you to gimme shelter from the doubters.
  5. There should never ever be a single long ball played with that line up
  6. Playing the box midfield and one striker is giving us control in the middle of the pitch. I wonder what his intention is when Norwood comes back, play him upfront on his own and trust that Dolan can play him in? Is Norwood/ Garner his preferred partnership? Would two strikers make us lose control of the midfield? Can Norwood and Fondop play together (a la Barnet away) ?
  7. Cheers BP. Makes sense given he is fairly injury prone.
  8. I live on the Wirral but like many would do the commentary for free and do a better job than Roy. Would imagine the % of listeners who still want to listen to Roy is minimal
  9. Is Dolan a loan or a permanent deal? Khan might not have any other offers
  10. Good to see you back on the forum Paul. Your lad should thrive here. My observations of Callum are that he’s a man now and has more of a physique but this has dulled his pace a bit hence why he’s plays centrally. What are your thoughts on that?
  11. Carried Rylands single-handedly for a few seasons. Did really well on-loan at Torquay so was recalled from his loan early by Fleetwood. Was in their squad before getting injured. After seasons watching Mark Shelton and Nathan Sheron this will feel like a godsend. He’s a more physical Jack Byrne
  12. Nowhere near Conlon, one of the 10’s that shouldn’t set foot in our own half
