Macca
Would be a decent signing, scores goals at this level. Anything would be a bonus!
Lookers_Carl
I would be happy with that, certainly better than what we have and knows where the goal is

rudemedic
Reasonable player- better than what we have bar Pawel probably. Think I may prefer Heff but 8 goals in half a season (his form from a previous year) would do for me. Having said that it could be another one of those players who because is a PLC youth product is rated by a disproportionate number of posters on here despite being not that good. BP1960
Not a prolific goalscorer, 174 appearances 41 goals.

Another one who has less than a hundred starts in his career, not sure if he's what we need - would prefer Heff BUT beggars can't be choosers and Pav does need a decent partner rather than the :censored:e we currently have and yes Smalley amongst others i'm talking about you. Frankly Mr Shankly
Crap. Went on loan to Bury so he can't be good. Rubbish.

Macca
Not a prolific goalscorer, 174 appearances 41 goals. At the moment I'd take 10 goals a season from a striker. Championship must be a league too high for him. Abbott, Nardiello and Heffernan as a group of strikers I would be happy. Allessandra (almost forgot he played for us) and Brooke to carry on learning their trade.

Hence a possible part of the problem with Mr Allessandra, as to me, it seems he thinks he has already learnt his trade!! johnny punkster
"we're just a team full of loanees" the players who have played for us over the last 3 seasons must be well over 100. and you wonder why fans are becoming sick of it. It would be interesting if someone could tot them up and find the exact number over the last 3 seasons, and how many of them have actually signed permanently for Latics. I think that's 29. Of which a few were genuine "emergency" loans. Plus others on contract probably takes us to about 70/80 even if not JP's 100. How does that compare with other clubs I wonder? Penney never disguised this. He said he would use it. With budgets as tight as they are the loan system has to be used for clubs such as ourselves. I'd say Penney's loanees are adding more. MaskedOwl
What do you expect when we have no cash for players. Nothing wrong with using the loan market. As long as correct decisions are made.

Its too many whichever way you look at it and it means the squad lacks continuity. Their are some ofcourse which have been successes in their but sometimes its best to have your own players let them make mistakes but keep them together and try and get them all aiming at the same thing long term. But moving further off topic, which of these players would you take right now, as a Latics player, not a loan. You have the pick of any, money is no object.
