  1. I've been his biggest critic, but I have seen a change this season. It might be just me, it probably is, but he seems to be working harder. It was ridiculous putting him on the wing, but he put a shift in for the team. He really frustrated me last season, but I'm more than happy to change my mind over him.
  2. Well, I was pissed off with that performance, but on reflection the game plan was to sit back, starve them of oxygen and then hit them on the break. Hudson had very little to do, unlike Norman last season. But, to play this way you need to counter with pace and passing accuracy. Apart from the odd surge by Kitching and that chance by Norwood, we failed miserably to provide any threat. But, again, we rarely looked in trouble. You can have all the possession in the world, but it means nothing if you can't create chances. So, on balance, a draw was about right. Still, rhino ball is very difficult to watch. We are reflection of the manager when he was a player.
  3. Pushing their keeper over was disgusting. Whoever did that should be banned for life. Fans were brilliant throughout, but we can't be having that.
  4. Piss poor decision again from a referee. Switched off. Poor defending. Poor tactics. Two central strikers playing as wingers. Really???? everything is piss, piss poor...apart from Frank catching the ball in the middle of the away end. That's the highlight...
  5. Wrexham won promotion because Hollywood stars pumped money in. Stockport won promotion because their owner pumped money in. It took both a couple of years, but, I agree, of course investing money helps. Weird to argue otherwise. It's what we've needed for....well, forever. However, you still need the right people to make it actually work. Frank's doing his bit. The manager, however, has a lot to prove.
  6. Yes, I know, but it's cover not competition. All other positions have a lot of competition. Just seems a bit odd, but then again....
  7. So, if we sign him then the squad is: GK Norman Hudson FB Kitching Freeman CB Hogan Raglan Hobbs Sutton McGahey CM Lundstram Tunnicliffe Sheron Shelton Gardner WM Green Ward Tollitt Dickenson strikers Willoughby Reid Fondop Nuttall Norwood Twenty-three players, plus, we still have Hope and Rooney. That's a strong squad on paper, but it's weird that we only have two full-backs.
  8. I won't argue with that. Wonderfully gifted. I just think Andy Ritchie edges it. Can you imagine both of them playing up front? I do.........happy place.
  9. And me. It nearly broke me....I still carry his picture around. Second best striker ever.
  10. He found the fourth division and the job in general to be very boring. He just wanted an excuse to leave without losing face. He was never enthusiastic about it in the first place.
  11. Royle-ball! That would be nice, but can't see it. Still, you never know.
  12. I don't disagree about the individual defenders, but we didn't defend well as a team. The midfield was often over run, leaving the defence exposed. One thing's for sure, it was rarely boring. Now...it feels a bit like Christmas, with the media team doing a brilliant job with the wrapping.
  13. I really enjoyed the lockdown season. Kewell-Ball was very entertaining at times. Great forward line of Maceleny, Rowe and Dearnley. Also, possibly the worst defence I've ever seen. I mean, they were shocking. We scored more and conceded more than anyone else.
