Amazing how Fondop has won over fans again after being slated a few short weeks ago. We probably do need Stone's youthful exuberance to get the best out of Norwood and Garner looked sharp yesterday. Stones replacing Reid would be a good move giving us good options (until January)!

I've been slightly more generous but that's the biggest issue here. He's still not sorted out the midfield and we're short of pace and quality up front plus the keeper has gone backwards. We've signed players we didn't really need and not addressed the obvious shortcomings in the team.

At the minute I'm only happy with 4 maybe 5 of those signings - recruitment hasn't been good enough and that's on MM and his assistant manager and head of recruitment. Not sure why DR has started being targeted by some, surely he along with the board just OKs the finances when asked?

Southend have signed Macaulay Bonne today on a 1 year deal - only 28 so if fit a good signing for them.

Looking at that I feel much more positive knowing that Magnus Norman won't be in goal tomorrow!
