  1. Positive is Sutton has had a decent run out so he's capable as CB cover, which is what Hobson is
  2. I don't often get to listen to Roy but god he's awful, surely nobody enjoys his contribution?
  3. Norwood isn't necessarily the type of player who's going to be busy all match, he's not going to madly chase down lost causes or harass the back 4. But what he does do is know where he needs to be, you only have to look at his cameo at the weekend when he should've been slipped in twice. His reaction of frustration is understandable but I don't think it's necessarily a negative thing, he demands more from players (and I think himself, which has at times led to him trying to do a bit too much). A team needs different characters, that's what drives succes. If we're to go up, I can't see a scenario where he isn't one of our main contributors.
  4. These are one of the worst teams I've seen us play and we've dominated the ball. But it's the same story at the top end of the pitch, we still don't create enough chances.
  5. Created very little though, still missing a bit of invention in the final third.
  6. It might not outweigh other factors, but you can't dismiss the possibility it has improved the national sides just because you don't like the idea.
  7. Odd half, they've looked dangerous when they get bodies coming forward quickly but most of the time they've just been hoofing into the big man who raglan is dealing with easily. Great strike from big mike, when he doesn't have time to think about it he's a great finisher. We could do with a little bit more composure on the ball when we win it back, too often we end up panicking and giving it away. Lundstrum has been particularly poor at times, I just think he needs to calm it down a bit, it's like he's trying to do everything at a million miles an hour. There should be opportunities to kill this game off 2nd half lots of space on offer if we can get the right men in the right areas.
  8. No, but I don't think we'll win anywhere near enough playing like we did today.
  9. On Norwood, I don't think the way we're playing at the minute suits him as much as fondop. Hoofball into the channels and crosses are way more up fondops street than Norwood. He wasn't on it today, which can happen, but I don't think we play to his strengths. Credit to big Mike though today, kept on fighting and eventually got his goal after missing a few good chances. I'd still start Norwood next time out.
  10. Well this is yet another drab performance so far. I don't see any sort of pattern to how we play, everyone just looks lost on the ball with no idea what to do. It just makes it slow, predictable and ineffective. We barely create anything from open play that doesn't come from a mistake from the opposition. We go direct far too often when we're not set up to play like that, we don't stretch the play anywhere near enough to warrant using the wingbacks who themselves don't get forward enough.
