A few weeks ago I watched a few FGR games and listened to the subsequent Cotterell interviews . The number of times he corrects the interviewer to put his own opinion across was staggering, the guys is something else . Hopefully by the time we go to their place our forward line will be fully fit and firing on all cylinders. I thought our defence was brilliant . Their sustained bit of pressure after 50 or so minutes didnt really create any clear cut chances or shots on target . For all Cotterills claimed dominance I dont recall Hudson having to make one save . When we adjusted I thought we saw out the game quite confortably and professionally. There succession of corners was instigated by a bad refereeing decision were Ogle was clearly pulled back in his own box and should have been awarded a free kick. All that said they do look a good side and moved the ball very quickly , and pressed our midfield faster in the second half . But we dealt with it, I can see that there is more to come from us maybe one or two more gears when players bed in and some get fitter . I am sure we have a couple of targets which would improve us even more but we will have to move on a couple more . Great overall team performance without any nervous 90 's.

Palmers contract is up at the end of the season , would fit the bill perfectly.

If we had taken our chances just after halftime at Halifax we would have won that game , same at Alty should have been outta sight before half time . Gateshead at home second half . Take those chances we have 6 more points and all the drama queens are quiet.

We havn't had the players fit or good enough to play two up front yet. So his hands are tied untill Norwood and Garner are back to full fitness . And before anybody says what about Reid forget it .

Dont think there is any denying we have a plan as a club .Lots of differences between the two clubs sure we have the same as you say plan to win games and entertain fans . Whilst Barnet have won five they have lost three . So not all plain sailing for the most fancied team at the start of the season .

Think the Khan deal was waiting for John Willie lees to sign up so possibly would not affect any Stones deal maybe ? Also thinking that Smith would have commanded more of a wage so there may still be a bit of wriggle room. Even so the recruitment while massively improved is still a bit concerning . And by that I mean the players signed so far have all done ok and made improvements . But what I am concerned about is the strategy, the plan off how we are going to play with the new recruits . We cant be serious about challenging the top spots and only play one up front we dont move the ball quick enough to play that way . And as good as Norwood is he cant play the lone role up front with so little support.

Thats bollocks all our forwards were Unsworth signings . I am so for giving him time to get it right and see signs of improvement . But we need another forward or find a better way to make use of the ones we have .And a tough tackling midfielder with legs wouldnt go a miss .

Simple fact is we need another capable striker , and we should have signed Booty. But I think Dolan and Khan will prove to be good signings.

Cant play two in midfield in this league . Its full of teams with meat grinder midfields . We just need to be patient and wait untill we get the right combination in attack. Wether its an existing personel combination or one with a new addition. To be fair none of know how well a Garner /Norwood combo would work in this team as the team is totally different from last year.
