  1. Thought the whole defensive unit were massive today. Goodwins best game since he arrived. Same for JJ. Greegs and Rubes didn't miss a thing. I believe Brill pulled off some good save, but due to the fog (and my rapidly failing eyesight) couldn't see an awful lot down that end. So it's Rubes that just sneaks it for me. The midfield also performed reasonably well today for a change. Whits played quite well for once, Furman was busy. Stephens seems to be improving with every game. Smalley however was more the same old gash. He's gotta be dropped for the next game. Their full back won't have an easier game. Abbot seems to be getting fitter, made some good runs and general movement was good. Again, because of the fog, couldn't really see the goal. Price looked ok - made life difficult for their centre halves all game and should be a good addition. Taylor made little impact in the short time he was on. Parker - See ya......
  2. Home is where you lay your hat. And we don't exactly have a lot of alternatives do we??
  3. Jesus fecking Christ man. Just how may "unique" grounds are there out there?? And do you honestly think that building a ground that looks like some piece of abstract art is going to benefit us? In any way? At all?? Not to mention the cost of building outside of the box. IT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN. And so bleeding what if it's the same as Colchester, Swansea, Shrewsbury, blah blah blah..... SO WHAT?????? All these aforementioned grounds that you and others constantly bleat on about are are a thousand times better than the squalid mess that we currently call home. I'm not too happy about moving to Failsworth, but I'm sick to the back teeth of the lame f*cking drivel about what it looks like and how many it's going to hold. Absolutely futile. ENOUGH ALREADY!!! I feel much better now......
  4. How about the "It's gotta be at least 12,000 capacity despite the fact that we'll never fricking fill the damn thing and end up looking ridiculous" stadium. Just rolls off the tongue.....
  5. I hate to draw comparisons between us and a non-league side, but might something like this be what we may see at failsworth?? Fleetwood Town And aren't the developers the same as the guys we're using??
  6. Christ! Have you taken a quick scan round BP lately?!?! Anyone would think the circus was is town when we're at home!! (performances on the pitch not withstanding...)
  7. It wouldn't do to let them down, now would it? I know where my pre-match flutter is going!
  8. Good game. Bury worked really hard and probably just about deserved it. Proper pudding of a pitch though. It's about the only thing that we've got at the moment that's ok!!
  9. Wasn't it just. And to compound the gaffe, Bury go 1 up!
  10. Think you can do either as far as I'm aware. Not sure which end the Railway is, but I believe we have the open end behind the goal only.
  11. Anyone else watching it? A bit scrappy..... And COG is having a Mare!!!
  12. I'll see you there Paul. Albeit with a great sense of trepidation and expected anguish.... I'll probably watch the whole game with my hands covering my face, just to save the energy of puting them up and down...
  13. I too am cacking myself about this game. I don't think I could bear watching us capitulate to a bottom of the league County. But I fear the likelihood is far to real. I just don't see goals coming.
  14. Bit late to this thread, but I saw it all. Greegs seemed to drag their guy down in the box, the lino never flagged. The play moved upfield, and as Greegs jogged away, their guy kicked out at him. Still no flag. Greegs then turns round and grabs him round the neck and pushed him. STILL no flag. The Millwall player then goes over to the ref, as did Harris (I think it was) along with Greegs. ONLY THEN did the lino raise his flag, so God only knows what his interpretation was, and why it took him so long to indicate it.....
  15. LOL! Quality, Jamie! Laughed out loud at point number 4. I'll vote for you.
  16. "Get out of our club, get out of our cluuuuuuuuuub, you sh*t Yorkshire b@stard, get out of our club......." (DP is a Yorkshireman isn't he??) EDIT - just checked Wikipedia and it says he was born in Wakefield - phew..... And also amusingly read this: "On 30 April 2009, Penney resigned from Darlington and was appointed as manager of Oldham Athletic. In 2010 he walked out of Oldham.[1]" Naawwty......
  17. Smalley was truly dog ---- tonight. Went down blind alleys all evening. And don't even get me started on Goodwin.......
  18. If I were the TTA, I'd be off as quick as my legs could carry me. This club is going to bankrupt the three of them if things carry on as they are. I wouldn't blame them one bit if they did a Chris Moore tomorrow.
  19. The only chance we're currently giving him is the chance to take us down. It really is that bad.
  20. Can't we just sack him for poor performance and not have to pay any compensation?? If my sales figures were as bad as DP's results have been over the same period, I'd have been given my P45 long ago. At the moment, if our club was a racehorse, we'd be shot.
