    Salford City or Fylde? Fylde are odd (IMO) as they're a new club based in group of villages (a stone's throw from Blackpool, Preston and Fleetwood) set up by 3 wealthy backers who want to get them in the Football League as quickly as possible. I've nothing against the ambition, but there isn't exactly the call for another FL club in the area. Before their play-off game last season they sent a bus to Bloomfield Road, hoping to pick up some Blackpool fans.

    I'd have them back for most of the reasons stated above. Plus rugby league doesn't do as much damage as a lot of people think. However, I could see the move to Curzon working out as well.

    Surely the Carlisle, MK Dons, Gillingham etc. shirts that Sondico make aren't as shoddy quality as our away effort. I won't be buying a home shirt (if I ever get the chance that is) because I'm not fond of the design, but if I did I'd be seriously worried if the quality was anything like the away shirt.

    I know SportsDirect have put a lot of money into the club and all that jazz, but this business with the kits is embarrassing.

    And Salford are looking pretty much good for promotion. Unbeaten so far in what's by far the strongest NPL Div 1 North in years. It's all very odd though. Not as odd as AFC Fylde. But odd.

    In Mellor's defence, his one outing for the first team this season was against a very good Middlesbrough side, where most of the Oldham side were also :censored:e. He's got the talent in there somewhere, but his confidence his clearly a problem. The 'my legs just wouldn't work and I couldn't run' incident last season did him no favours.

    I often hear people say they go to watch Latics when there's no Premier League on. However after last week's positive display I'd have thought we'd have a few more through the turnstiles yesterday.

    Kelly started slowly but is improving all the time. Elokobi and Wilson are rocks in central defence. Elokobi is bordering on cult hero and Wilson is just classy.

    Just checked up on our old mate Mr. Richards. Fiorentina are currently 0-0 with Genoa. Richards is in his usual position. On the bench.

    Mills have developed a knack for winning headers against players who look twice his size. He had a good game yesterday.

    There's a happy, warm glow feeling about this one. LJ stated he wanted players living local and everyone buying into the team spirit. Big George is perfect for this, Miguel, apparently, is not.

    Positive stuff again, but the double substitution made us flat. Poleon looked to be tired but I'd have kept Philliskirk on for a bit longer. Another clean sheet though. We've lost 2 league games in 17!

    If Forte isn't fit, I'd keep Poleon up top, bothering their last man, and Dayton on the left (his natural position), and perhaps Morgan-Smith on as a sub later on.

    A Matt Smith style player with more big club experience by the sounds of it.

    IF Porter was to sign (a big if), I'd totally expect him to go straight in the squad, up front with Poleon.
