What's Morgan-Smith's favored position?
-
Isn't Gros 22? He looks about 37.
-
I hope it isn't David Noble. Nothing against the fella, but we don't need another central midfielder. It's probably a good call as he played with LJ at Bristol City.
I'd sign Gros, purely to hear Tommy Wright yell "Willy!" like a drunk Scottish maniac.
-
Forte doesn't blow me away (been told he was crap at Scunthorpe), but I haven't seen him in his usual striker position.

Barcelona did an away kit which was orange AND raspberry.

I think we'd all like attacking, pretty football. But if come Christmas we're in the top half, playing a defensive 4-1-4-1, with one up front hitting on the break, I'd be pleased as punch.

Think the official Latics Facebook page shared it.

To be fair, we haven't played a League 1-standard side yet. You never know, we may line up more offensively against sides in our league, especially when Philliskirk is back.
-
In the three friendlies we've (all) seen, the subs have generally played well. Mellor and Winchester both look sharp, Lockwood solid as ever and Bove has shown glimpses. Plenty of options for LJ, especially in CM and CB.
Can't wait for the JPT.
-
DP, Turner and Bove, all strikers moved to the flanks or midfield and all less effective for it. I don't see LJs logic in this?
And Forte.
Wouldn't mind seeing Forte play in his usual striker position along side JCH. Clarke-Harris desperately needs help up top.
-
We really could do with a right-footed winger. Dayton created lots and kept finding space, but he needs to be on the other flank, and Forte doesn't quite do it for me. He doesn't like it on his right foot either, and I can't see him playing 90 minutes out-wide consistently.
Mellor battled hard in the middle and kept on winning the ball. Kelly was quiet, JCH wasteful, centre halves solid.

Just purchased tickets for Lancs vs Yorks in the one dayer next Saturday. My brother's stag-do.
Beer.

Some of the moans coming out of the main stand was embarrassing. Sort your lives out.
-
Brown was decent, especially second half, looked very comfortable. Dayton played alright, needs to be on the left as he isn't strong enough on his right foot. Gros needs someone up front with him.
-
Interesting to hear we might be trying out another shade of blue. Despite being quite fond of the dark blue we used for the 12/13 season, I feel as though we should stick to one.

Portsmouth unveil their sondico away kit
http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/white-pompey-away_28829
Think this looks pretty smart, probably the only sondico shirt i've seen that doesn't look very cheap
Agreed. Looks smart, and not like the usual Sunday-league style.

The goals from Wednesday night. Our second really was well worked.
-
The away is yellow.
This crushes me.

Good move. A new face, and someone who's going to build the club's commercial side, which is imperitive to the club's future.
Hopefully he'll be squeezing as much money out of the new stand, via the SD store, gym, conferencing facilities etc. as possible.
-
I wonder what Johnson's plans for Forte are.. He played on the left against Curzon and Newcastle but by all accounts he's an out-and-out striker. He's never been prolific, but in 2012 he did get 5 in 10 at Notts County.
Hope we don't play with one up front in the league. Perhaps against the Sheffield Uniteds etc, but with the defence looking so strong you'd hope we could go a bit more attacking.

More Bulk than Hulk, but I see his point.
Bad news for those going to Preston by train
