    Very sad to hear the news of the death of Jimmy Frizzell. A great servant of 22 years to Latics as player, captain, coach, and manager. Thanks for the memories Jimmy. RIP.

    A few years ago we had 8 new players making their debut on the first home game of the season, and one of the other 3 starters had only joined near the end of the previous season.

    When was the last time Kuqi played, or coached, in the football league? I'd be a little concerned about the depth of his knowledge of League 1 players, or would player recruitment be SOD's job as DoF?
