  1. The current top 5 (from 185 responses) 1. Iain Dowie (148) 2. Nigel Adkins (103) 3. Uwe Rosler (96) 4. Paul Scholes (87) 5. John Sheridan (74) Dean Holden has 15 votes and Mark Yates only 7 votes. Stevie_J - Is it worth adding Paul Ashworth at this late stage?
  2. The first game I can remember seeing, with my dad, was Harry Dowd's home debut in 1970. I'd heard of him as a City keeper and, as such, I wanted to see him at BP. My dad obliged. What a season that was. Promotion, including 50 goals from Jim Fryatt and David Shaw, in my first season as a fan. I was hooked and a Latics fan for life. The rest, as they say, is history. RIP Harry.
  3. Just raised 1p. Is the site good for finding videos? I was just thinking, if I'm on my own on a Saturday night, I might be able to raise at least 6p.
  4. Latics also get a mention! "When I was a player, if Manchester United played Oldham in Division Two they had to share the gate receipts."
  5. Hopefully, they'll make a decision before I have to make a decision on whether to renew my season ticket.
  6. Yates odds are shortening. 4/1 when I last looked. Why am I reminded of Dave Penney?
  7. He also said "it was a mixed reception" today. From where I was sitting it was quite hostile, with 'Judas' being the politest name he was called!
  8. No Manager. No Defence. No Skipper. No luck. No consistency. No chance against Barnsley, who have won their last 5 games! Nailed on 3 points today!
  9. From Wikipedia: "On 15 February 2011, during Milan's Champions League game against Spurs Gattuso pushed Tottenham coach Joe Jordan away by the throat during an incident on the sideline. Jordan was seen outside his allowed technical area exchanging words with Gattuso, in relation to the relatively physical game that had been played. After the game, after Gattuso had shaken hands with the Tottenham players, video footage shows him confronting Jordan and head-butted him after another exchange of words, before being restrained by both team mates and opponents." And we all know that Joe Jordan was a soft arse!
  10. Steve Eyre and Tony Carss also interested, according to the Rarely Wrong. http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/10/oldham-athletic-news/90693/standin-duo-set-for-lj-clash
  11. It only took Barnsley 2 weeks to appoint a new manager, and included not being allowed to speak to their first choice.
  12. The only one I can think of is Bobby Zamora, aged 34, and possibly getting relegated with QPR.
  13. Which Taylor is it? Is it Gary or Phil Neville? Is it John or Steve Eyre?
  14. Someone on Twitter has put a £25 bet, with Sky Bet, on Uwe Rosler at 25/1. His odds have now dropped to 10/1. A very fluid market.
  15. No doubt a new appointment won't be made until due diligence has been completed!!!
  16. Anthony Gee is Corney's + 1 if anyone wanted to know. Wonder what he'll have to say.
  17. I'm sure I'm not the only one who hasn't a clue who they want as the new Manager or who they expect to be the new Manager. I was nowhere near guessing before Dickov or Johnson were appointed. Last time I hoped for Iain Dowie but expected Phil Brown. In the end we'll probably appoint an ex-Championship player, aged 35, who's currently playing in the French Ligue 2, and is married to a Swedish pop singer!
