IAIN DOWIE Q&A What club did you enjoy managing the most? (Riam Daniel) "I had a fabulous time at Oldham. It is an old school club. I had some great senior pros with me, such as John Sheridan. There was a wonderful rapport. I remember the whole club coming to my house for a Christmas party. There was about 70 of them in the garage and the house. I still swap texts with the lady who cooked food for us at Boundary Park."

I thought it was a season long loan, with a 24 hour recall clause after the first month.

There's a (older) bloke near me who constantly criticises the players, as he did last season. His parting shot on Saturday was "they've changed the orchestra, but they're playing the same tune." That was my first game of the season and, although it was bit of an ant-climax, it's way to early to jump to any conclusions. I'm still looking forward to the next home game.

He could appoint Jenny W as a Defensive Coach. I'm sure she'd stiffen up the back four!

Am I being a touch cynical to think that this story will run for a while before a 'no deal' answer is given, and once again messrs Corney, Blitz and Gazal will be hailed as heroes?? Or, are we really going to get a man who: Failed at Barrow and took Chester City to liquidation. Is banned from being a company director until 2020 due to involvement in a £500,000 VAT fraud. Was the first person to fail the FAs 'fit and proper person' test. Was jailed for 15 months for breaking a policeman's cheekbone. Vaughan even makes Chris Moore - nearly bankrupted Latics and has admitted to fraud while at Torex - look half respectable!!
