  1. Anyone know when the loan transfer window closes. Isn't it later this month?
  2. Still looks like a gang of 4, for the last relegation place, to me.
  3. Shame, MK Dons (for once) couldn't at least draw.
  4. Askam tweeted: "Believe Iain Dowie may well decide on the Oldham job one way or the other over next few days." I suppose 'may' is still a bit vague, but this was tweeted on 7th March so the 'few days' are up! Like a few others I'm getting a little bored now! As my grandfather used to say: 'either piss in the pot or get off it.'
  5. More like a someone playing netball - and the linesman must have seen it as well.
  6. Broady's there as well. https://twitter.com/Broadystar
  7. I'm not sure the Main Stand will last another 20 years. The roof certainly won't! The current Directors box would be a good place for a camera gantry.
  8. You can get 28/1 on Nick Barmby. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/oldham/next-permanent-manager
  9. Anyone else submitted a comment? http://planningpa.ol...DHA_DCAPR_47909 Bump.
  10. Woolmer was, by far, the worst referee I've seen at BP in a very long time - and I've been going to BP a very long time! The last time I left BP so angry about a referee was 10 years ago following Mark Clattenburg's dreadful performance culminating in the red card for Les Pogliacomi. I know a lot of pushing and holding goes on in the penalty box these days, and as such a lot of decisions are not given. When Smith was pushed in the back in the box I didn't expect this ref to give a penalty. However, to give a free kick against Smith just beggars belief! When Simpson was fouled in the box I thought for a second that the ref had brought play back for the foul on Obita, but of course he gave nothing! I'm still not convinced that Mvoto or Simpson deserved yellow cards - I didn't spot any contact with the latter. When Mvoto was booked the ref called him over and then walked backwards 10 yards so Mvoto had to walk even further to receive his yellow card. Even that annoyed me, and that was after less than 20 minutes! I could on, but won't. Will the assessor's report criticise the referee? I doubt it! Rant over.
  11. Straight from the horse's mouth suggests your source is Dowie himself!
  12. Ok, so it's not Dowie. TP doesn't want the job. We don't want Sammy Lee. It won't be Paul Scholes. It's too late for Billy Davies and Simon Grayson. So, who will it be? Phil Brown keeps popping back in to my head! Radio Manchester can't be paying Brown as much as Sky pay Dowie? 13. I presume you mean this Mr Vaughan. If so, I hope the rumours are not true. http://www.chesterch...59067-28337153/
  14. I had a quick look at the 220 comments and I couldn't find one that was against the proposals. I've just added my comments in support.
  15. And we've still got to play Hartlepool and Colchester at home, and Shrewsbury and Bury away.
  16. * My thoughts as well, but I suppose a lot comes down to money. The old Oldham Arena plans had a 5,200 seater Broadway Stand proposed, but it was also suggested that this could cost around £7m. ** Unless they can build a new Main/Furtherwood Road Stand in 3 months over a summer, this is a future question that has not been answered. However, I'll still write in support of the plans tomorrow.
  17. I'd expect the roles to be reversed on Saturday with Smith starting and Iwelumo on the bench.
  18. There were 5 substitutions and 2 goals, which should be 30 seconds each. I've just played back the recording (sad I know!) and the Howard injury was 2 minutes. Even adding 30 seconds on for everything else would have meant 5 minutes of added time. It only takes a few seconds to score a goal.
