    Can hardly believe it was 21 years ago! I was living and working in London at the time and managed to get a ticket for the match from OASIS. Stood in the roofless Chaddy End, and almost hugged a complete stranger after I fell off the step when the penalty went in. That's the only time I went on to the pitch at the end of a season as well. I'm sure I also floated up Sheepfoot Lane on the way home. Halcyon days.

    Wanting a lighter shade of blue with white shorts and socks is really a different kit design! I think that puts you in the 'Mmm, I'm not so sure' category!!

    If you get bored maybe you could turn your attention to the new away kit! Various rumours on here have suggested tangerine and blue, tangerine and white, or a different shade of blue. It would ne nice to see a few of your designs. So you'd be happy if Latics played in a City style pale blue strip! FFS.

    The new kit is dark, dull, and drab, with no contrast. It’s also a shade that may be difficult to pick out at night matches. Who decides the colour, Latics or Fila? I may be a bit of a traditionalist, but Latics wear a particular shade of blue (see avatar). For me this is one of the worst kits since the blue and red hoops in the 1990s. It’s a no from me.

    I seem to remember that when we launched our new (broad blue striped shirt) kit in 2000 it was worn by a player who paraded it on the pitch at either half time or before the kick off.

    I’m a bit OCD so would prefer both sleeves to be the same! The on-line comments in the Chron would also go into meltdown if we were sponsored by Oldham Council.
