Liverpool players wore T-shirts in support of Uruguayan Suarez - a move Ouseley has called "dreadful". Lord Ouseley also said Reds striker Suarez's apology was "lamentable". The anti-racism campaign's chairman said: "Liverpool need to take a hard look at themselves. Suarez's attempt at a belated apology is lamentable.""

    I think there was slightly more than that in the FA's 115 page report. Liverpool's continued support for Suarez is condoning racism - and that stinks.

    I'm sure Mike Newton will still make his views known. I presume the Board of Directors will make any CEO appointment, and I can't see Barry Owen applying unless he was guaranteed the job by his fellow directors. I would have thought the likes of Simon Corney and Mike Newton would in any case prefer a younger person with some football administrative experience.
