    Immense today, unplayable at times. Never stopped running, won every header, brilliant cross for the goal. I think we have ourselves a player there.

    I think we'll more than double the advanced sales. A lot won't have been near the ground since the end of last season and there's no huge saving to be made. I'll go for 1,200.

    I'm not keen on Gerrard either, but if a decent CB signed tomorrow and admitted we were his last choice, I'd welcome him aboard.

    Clubs do the same thing with players though. Can't blame a guy for holding out for the best deal. I doubt it would impact his performance should he sign.
