  1. I'll admit I'm already concerned he's falling in to the same traps as Dickov. Two defencive mids, no experienced assistant etc in fact the one major thing he hasn't done that Dickov did, playing the same 11, people are screaming out for him to do it. I hope he learns from these mistakes but all the training courses in the world can't teach you experience, it's vital IMO and an experienced assistant would do him the world of good. Can't help but feel he's traveled Europe, done his badges, watched his dad and is naive enough to think he can do it all himself!
  2. I think we've seen how good Montano is when he's 100%. Needs a run of games to get himself firing again!
  3. Still agree with BP. I've been impressed with Wes recently but we need something more in the centre of midfield. Remember how well the Furman/Stephens partnership worked for Dickov. We've never replaced him unfortunately!
  4. I think he'll get a run of games, unfortunate to miss out tonight but I wouldn't fancy him up top on his own!
  5. Did the 1-1 draw at home to Colchester last season and the 2-0 win away at Crewe.
  6. Can't believe we've got a player with the technical ability Millar has and he's been called :censored:. The only things missing from his game come with experience, like positioning, decision making(which has improved) etc..
  7. No chance we'll play the same formation there. I'd play the same team but 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 with Montano in for Millar. Need some pace on the break.
  8. His technical ability is second to none, first touch and some of his passes today were brilliant!
  9. Most people on here will have gone to the FA Cup game against them 5/6 seasons ago.
  10. What an overreaction to this statement. I'd be a little bit worried if his ambitions stopped at League One level. Everybody in this league is playing to earn a contract at a higher level, that's the truth of it. Tarky keeps playing his best football, thats good for us, if he gets a move to a higher league, we take the cash. Works for both of us.
  11. Blurry, but it looks like they're both on the 6 yard line when Batt touches the ball.
  12. Montano seems to take a couple of games to get himself sharp again after injury, so I'd start him on the left. Other than that I'd keep the same team that started yesterday.
  13. THEY GOT OUR SHORTS WRONG!!! On a serious note about the game, crossing and heading is awful. It's almost the opposite of Latics, attackers always win crosses in to the box and headers always go in.
  14. It's a shame we couldn't have spent Rooney's wages on a decent, attack minded midfield player. Until we get one we'll see more performances like today. I'd hate to be a winger for us, no chance of finding space when defenders have nothing to worry about in the middle.
  15. There's your problem! Smith is brilliant, but he needs somebody that can create something alongside him. All our attacks seem to be the same, Wes passes to Smith, he passes to a full back, the full back passes it to a winger and the winger delivers a shocking ball in to the box. No variety and teams are finding it easy to defend against.
  16. MacDonald should start next week with Philiskirk. I've seen enough of Rooney now to say that, in my opinion, he is very poor.
  17. I said when he signed, if Baxter apparently didn't fit in a anymore, then neither did Rusnak. Sure he's a talented player but he wasn't what we needed.
  18. It's really not worth getting wound up by a guy like this! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lincolnshire/6113856.stm http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2153107/Steve-Evans-exposes-Bradford-City-female-official.html
  19. Yes. Definitely the right choice sitting in the RRE with an 8 year old. Good, unrestricted view and cheaper than the main stand for under 16's.
  20. I'm sure we could spend some of the £5m on a replacement
