  1. I thought the original reason was they wanted to wait until they got cover? They've signed Kelvin Wilson since then so maybe now we've got the cash again we've gone back for him.
  2. It leaves him having to fight for his place, enjoy it while we can!
  3. Where does Rusnak fit in, isn't he more of a Baxter style attacking midfielder than a CM?
  4. Surprised the club haven't just chose to say nothing, and let us believe the clause was hit.
  5. Decent fee and a sell on and they can have him. Sell him now before his flaws truly show over the season. If I'm wrong and he comes good, we're laughing when they sell him on to premier league stardom like some think he's going to achieve. Sounds like we've already got a replacement lined up going off Mike Keegan's tweets yesterday.
  6. Judging by LJ's comments the clause was not met, we've sold our best player for under his already pitiful release clause? LJ seems happy with Rusnak as a replacement, what happens when he bails back to City in Jan?
  7. Again, we had no say in the sale of Baxter, the clause was hit and he wanted to go.
  8. Maybe he's just found out the extent of his injury.
  9. I doubt we would have the option, he's not going there on loan, he's their player.
  10. I just hope whoever we get in is on loan for the full season.
  11. I hear Marcos Lopez is highly rated, midfielder. Is he too good for us?
  12. The Tottenham point is a good one, they were so reliant on Bale before, now they've used the money to build a more rounded squad. That said they've got 90m to spend. The difficulty for us is finding the right players to improve the team, and that cost next to nothing.
  13. Hopefully we don't sign anybody for the sake of it, I think we're covered up front. I'd like to see us sign somebody with a bit of creativity in midfield, as it stands we're very defencive in that area.
  14. Several other journalists have confirmed it, including Matt Chambers.
  15. People are getting carried away saying we won't miss him, he doesn't fit in etc.. However, if we had lost him in Jan I think we would be playing in League Two this season. Where as now I think we're less reliant on him and still have a good enough squad to stay up.
  16. That said, maybe by getting it out in the public domain, it will attract interest from others.
  17. We shouldn't be considering any offers for Baxter, we should be telling teams to hit the release clause or he's staying put.
  18. Sounds like he's impressed every manager he's played under in training, but for whatever reason he hasn't broken in to first teams. He's definitely got the ability, hopefully he proves it with us.
  19. 1-1, not long left, hopefully they hold out for extra time!
  20. Baxter starting in a 4-3-1-2 with JCH and Rooney would be lethal. But who do you pick as the three in midfield?
  21. Thought we played a few too many hopeful long balls first half, when we needed to get it wide to Montano and Dayton more, great ball from Montano for the first! I would say first half they were more threatening than us and found space out wide more, we still had a couple of decent chances on the break though. Second half we were miles better, great ball from Tarky and good strength from JCH for the second and a great finish for the third. They had a spell at 2-1, throwing plenty in to our box but thought the defence handled it well. Other than that we were comfortable second half and deserved the win. Thought Mills was excellent at LB and Tarky a rock again, Smith calm as usual in midfield and JCH and Rooney brilliant together up top. Great to see Rooney get off the mark, hopefully plenty more to come!
