It doesn’t annoy me. In fact I applaud the correct use of an ellipsis.
There aren’t many who use it correctly.
Is he using them correctly?.....I'm not sure.........Mr 24hours?

Denis Irwin, the best right back we've ever had convincing manure fans he was a left back.
-
Ah, the annual Kennedy rumour.
He's only been signing for us for the past 5 years.
Shot in the dark

Thinking about it, the oafc "sticker" would be better suited this way:
I don't have the need for a sticker, and nor should anyone over the age of ten, but that's very nice.
I am a bit too old for stickers on toilet cisterns, but it would beat a smiley face when I'm marking schoolwork. That design is quality, slap it on a t-shirt and I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Personally I hope Robinson stays at MK his whole career. They absolutely deserve each other and will achieve nothing together. That works for me.
I don't use the c word very often, but Robinson is a :censored:. Oops a c #$ t.

Fairly meaningless unless one strives for internet forum greatness; it's a IPB post count grading. It can be modded to display other graphics like footballs or hairy bollocks, or anything really.
In that case owls please. Like Vic and Bob, I aspire to two owls. Now that is a close season partee.

He gets :censored: all.
What do the dots beneath the avatar mean?
Is my quest for four dot status meaningless?

a psst hell town....
Very good.
And congratulations on hitting exactly 2000 posts. You probably get a gold star, or if you're very lucky, a sticker to vandalise with as you wish.

If this happens I'll... well, I'll be surprised.
Swell hot pants.

In more ways than one.

I see what you mean, but golf is as middle class as Tennis is IMHO. We don't struggle to produce world class Golfers.
Football is arguably not as lower class as you seem to think. It's popularity is what makes it so accessible.
Regarding the golf, we have a competitive middle/upper class, they are competing with similarly privileged blokes globally. Chop a limb off a posh bloke and he gets a gold medal at shooting at the next Olympics.
According to Soccernomics, with statistical evidence, "football has scared away the competitive middle classes" . They also argue that "the best athletes (dismissed by some on here as being thick) have fast mental reactions......and if properly trained would make for high-calibre intellects"
We punch above our weight as a sporting nation, partly because of our history, unfortunately, in some respects, inhibited by it as well. Economically, we are missing out on another pool of talent. I blame the teachers.
-
My point was merely that tennis is a middle class sport open to few, Murray had access via his mum's job. I did say he was sportingly privileged (mum a coach, brother to practise with and world class foreign coaching), no mention of finance.
The class issue remains, without it we could possibly be competitive on the world football stage and have more than one world class tennis player per half century. I use we to mean English or British to suit my purpose.
edit: I missed off the quote, response to rudemedic #22.

I have just finished reading Soccernomics (on the recommendation of Gentleman on here). It argues how English football is missing out on a whole pool of sporting talent from the middle classes. It even cites an unnamed Latics player who was bullied because of his choice of newspaper.
From the other point of view, can you imagine, for example, how good an athlete like Gareth Bale would have been at tennis had he had Andy Murray's privileged sporting upbringing?

One year civil engineering! Is that the sound of barrels being scraped?
Dowie was a rocket scientist at British Aerospace.

It'll be too big for you soon!
Maybe this is why they only had XXXL sizes when I looked in the laundry sale.

Mike Fillery
Beat me to it.

My son wore the new home shirt with the blue away shorts for training last night, they went really well together, the tangerine piping even lined up. I hated the new shirt at first, but having seen it in the flesh it is growing on me.

I'm now worried that as season tickets haven't yet been sent out, I may not get a ticket for any emergency games that get organised.
I've read on the twatosphere that we are very close to a game with a combined ambulance, fire brigade and police team.

£12 for a lower-league friendly? Jesus! Is that normal?
Remember this is a glamour tie for them.
-
Somehow you managed to turn that into another slating of the club. Well done
I have generally defended the club in the face of unrealistic supporter expectations, how does that constitute a slating?
-
We are 'Latics' which is a unique name. They are 'The Latics' who made a poor attempt at copying our name.
Headline should read Latics v The Latics. Shame on Latics for crediting Wigan with the same name!
Headline should read Latics v Wigan!

Whenever we get a larger than usual home crowd, we play abject football, get beaten and lose the opportunity to retain many of the floating fans.
Edit: league crowd.

I generally agree with the OP. Some folks on here do have unreasonable expectations from the club with regard to fan input on decisions and club communication. However, as Stevie J said on the "badge" thread, it makes commercial sense to consult us on the items like replica shirts and badges for which we are the end consumer. If the manufacturer decides on the kit design, then JD / Fila / Carbrini should be canvassing our opinions. I don't know what market research Nike did on the new England home kit, but I find it hard to believe that fans would choose that design.
It has been
on here. But I don't expect to be kept in the loop on transfer deals, just don't hype up internal contracts as if they are new signings from outside the club.
Please can we call it the close season, not the off season, this is not :censored:ing America.

He's signing for Doncaster, supposedly.

I'm trying to be true to my word but it says website not available when I try to check out. Quality picture of Ian Wood, that is the very top I wore for p.e. at my manc school, same school Mike Keegan went to, and it never did him any harm.
Sorry, I'm rambling, and with my hay fever that's not good. If needs be I can give you the cash outside the ground, although that may be letting daylight in on magic, I remember arranging to meet Optional from the old JK board outside the Chaddy and he didn't look like I expected.
