  1. designated areas, so if you want to experience something in particular you know where to sit

Singers can sit with the singers

Those who want to sit all game can because everyone around them wants to sit

all the moaners can sit with all the moaners

all the fit blondes can sit next to me

I've been thinking a bit more about this. If there was a poor away support, the dedicated sections would be able to sing to each other, in particular the singers to the moaners.

"shall we have a moan for you, shall we have a moan for you..."

"two nil down and you still don't moan......"

"can you hear the moaners groan? No, no...."

"your support, your support, your support is :censored:ing encouraging............"

"you fat bastard, you fat bastard. ...." (sorry wrong section)

The moaners could have their own songs.

We are the :censored: of all Europe, the crap of the north

We moan about Smithy and Bouzy of course (and Wes)

We whine when at home, we don't go away

We're sad if the ga-ames are going our way

We're critical bastards, without any doubt

We are the negative boys....ta nah nah

    And plenty more I'm sure.

I really need to do something more useful with my time, but given the option of being on here or lesson planning.... :mmm:

  2. I'm well aware that someone can do a job, especially a part time job from the US and have business interets in another country, It was Millibands decision to step back from politics and his decision to step down from Sunderland and the timing that made me think it may have been more than a coincidence.

    But thanks anyway. :OASISscarf:

All ok then. I had no intention of being patronising (that means talking down to someone) :OASISscarf:

  3. I thought Milliband was :censored:ing off to NY to head some sort of charity, sounds about right he would be resigning then?

He only worked a few days a year for considerable recompense. I wonder if it is possible to have dealings with an English football club whilst having business interests in New York. Can't think of any examples off the top of my head.

It's what the press do, it's how they sell the papers. I think what people forget sometimes is that he was born in Rome, Mafiso land, even the Italian coppers are bent- I got stung over €100, can't remember the exact amount for overtaking where I shouldn't have been (I didn't even realise I was in a no overtaking zone, well you wouldn't if Eyetie truck drivers were over taking as well), they fined me, I didn't get a receipt so I guess that those Euros I handed over got spent on coffee, biscuits, pizza and pasta for their working week.

This is true. I was warned about this when I went to Italy on holiday last summer. Apparently the Mafia come over from Sicily and steal all the no overtaking signs. The police then wait to book innocent foreign motorists and force them into paying on the spot fines. They then get together and have biscuit, pizza, coffee and biscuit parties. I think the pope bloke lives in the Rome area so he is probably involved enticing tourists into the area.

When asked whether he was aware his Nazi salute would offend Jewish people, he said something vile along the lines of, "Since when were the Jews in charge."

    Case closed. Racist and fascist.

I don't see how you can be a fascist without being a racist. It's like a vegan saying they're not a vegetarian. He had the opportunity at yesterday's press conference to disassociate himself from his past comments and say he no longer held those beliefs. He chose not to. In my book still a facist, still a racist. I hope the good people of Sunland give him the level of respect he deserves.

  6. I can't believe some of the posts criticising the size and quality of our away support. We all know that our home gates are poor, mainly due to our proximity to Manchester. But the percentage of those supporters that follow the team away is phenomenal. Sheff United at the top of the league brought 3000ish to BP, that is one sixth of their average home gate. Reverse that and imagine us having a season contending for promotion, getting say 6000 crowds and only taking 1000 to Bramall Lane?

If we take 1800 to Bury that is half our average home crowd, how many clubs can boast that? Our away support is one of the few things we tics can be very proud of.

  7. My understanding is that the 10 points would be taken NEXT season, if Portsmouth are relegated.

If they survive, they'll be taken this season which we effectively force them down.

If they are going down without the deduction it will be applied next season. Ken Bates put Leeds into administration when they were as good as down to try and avoid the punishment.
