The OP refers to SC being reluctant to implement another discount scheme because of the threats. The golden ticket was a discount scheme.

I asked who thinks season ticket holders aren't real fans, please tell me what your opinion is on that, not what you think other people think.

Read again and you will see I wrote the idiots aren't followed by a colon, that means what follows is a list of the things that those making threats aren't.

Odd thing is, they are more than likely to be season ticket holders (real fans to some), I must say, some of them think they have some sort of entitlement for buying one, and some would rather see opposition fans get tickets when there's a premium game in the offing.

The OP said it was about objections to the golden ticket from ST holders. An argument for giving ST holders extra tickets is to keep them within the fan base and prevent opposition supporters getting them on open sale.

Thanks for posting that, it was irritating me but I didn't want to appear pendantic.

Do the fans of any other similar sized clubs to ourselves have the same highly charged and emotive responses to events? Do any other fans suffer such a roller coaster? Football is a life experience and, god knows,we seem to live it every minute.

The major difference between Smith and Ebeegeebee is the stage of their careers. Smith is in his first real full season, he is intelligent, listening and learning. The other is on the way down playing out time and taking the money. It will be a town hall steps job for me if he ever scores a headed goal from a cross, whatever the frequency and quality of the crosses.

I genuinely worry that some supporters haven't grasped the consequences of choosing to continue with the youth set-up. The vast majority (including me) wanted to keep it but what everyone should realise is that it will mean more reliance on the likes of Millar, Tarky & Winchester. Supporters will either have to choose to be more patient and supportive of them or understand that constantly running them down is fruitless and pointless. Inward transfer and loan activity will be tailing off from hereon in but I don't think people have understood that.

So many fans expect the finished article straight away, Tarky with a few games under his belt is still learning. Even Beckham had the luxury of playing on loan at Preston before going into the first team. I hope one good thing that comes out of this season is that the new manager will have a remit to work with Tony Kirk to develop our yoof. We as fans need to be patient and supportive of them, not get on their backs.

Go on, say a bit more, really let rip and articulate your feelings about him.

I don't quite get why so many on here are spoiling for a fight about one loan player. It's about opinions, some think he was lazy and poor, others ( mistakenly) think he played well. I made up my mind about him in that game, during that game, and I resent being accused of prejudice by some people on here, who from what I have read couldn't articulate their way out of an argument with a ten year old.
