  1. Really? Worse than 'headless chickens' croft and brown? Hmm all about opinions innit...

There were many to pick from today. He may have done fewer bad things than some, mainly because he doesn't do anything. I can't think of anything good he brings to the team. On the rare occasions he jumps he makes himself shorter.

  2. What annoyed me today besides the lack of 1st half effort was our substitutions.

We take off our best player Iwelumo and bring a poor Simpson on to replace him.

Assuming croft was injured why bring on a Blue Sq league standard player (Millar) and swop Obita like for like.

We needed a change to make things happen , Take Obita off and bring on Smith into Midfield and push Baxter further up.

Never seen such a poor performance from a team fighting relegation and 3 completely pointless subs.

Umpalumpa our best player. FFS he was the worst player on the pitch.

  3. I will start by saying TP is being stubborn and refusing to change it when he has blatantly got it wrong putting him there. He is not a centre midfielder especially when we are supposed to be fighting for our lives. Too many misplaced passes and Hollywood balls.

Less said about the pen the better.

No, plenty needs saying about that penalty. He took that for Jose Baxter not Oldham Athletic. I would drop the arrogant little cock for Tuesday at least.

As for Omolumpa, I never want to see him in a Latics shirt again.

  4. Dont think it helped rather than the replay being played a fortnight later been arranged 4 days laters (wenger wanted this timescale for replays for years) sure Millwall took over 2000 to Tranmere for a replay last time they where at this stage of the competiton.

It was always the following week back in the day. The police changed it because they couldn't get organised in the short time scale.

  5. I don't really think people are overreacting about yesterday. It was dire. We got beaten of a poor team (ok, they might be up there, but they were poor yesterday) and the performance and the circumstances around it give a lot of cause for concern.

And Wigan were brilliant yesterday. If they played like that against us we would have got battered!!

So much of the game is in the mind, Wigwam wouldn't have had the same approach and, in view of their relegation fight, Martinez would have most likely fielded a much weaker team.

Let's face it if it wasn't for the handball / post incident we would be looking at two trips to Wembley and an extra game in hand in the league. FACT!

    :first:

  6. No interest in any other club , this includes not joining in with the obsession with disliking Man U.

I admire many aspects of what they have achieved and how they play football. The centre of football is the north west of England and I am grateful to them for dragging the epicentre to this side of the East Lancs Road. However in my eyes the lowest of the low is a manure supporter from Oldham.

  7. Thank you, I feel slightly less dozy.

I have been to two reserve games in my life. One was as a lad my dad took me to manure reserves v villa reserves to see George Best play, a Frank o Farrell comeback. Disappointing.

For some reason I went to see a Paul Moulden debut / Stitch comeback from injury game.

Any road up, I plan to go to this game.

    (Subject to availability)

  8. Dowie is no god, decent enough manager back in the day but let's not forget he's been out of the game for a few years now and I personally think his brother bob and john harbin were the brains of the operation.

I thought Bob Dowie was more of a scout. Wasn't one size down to him?

  9. People complaining about the drum piss me off, it creates atmosphere at matches that are usually like being at a library. It's the drum that starts off songs most of the time as nobody can be arsed starting a song and I don't blame them as only 15-20 join in usually.

On another note what is the Cheryl cole song about?

The drum was in the Chaddy and I didn't notice it rocking. What would have got us all singing would have been goals and exciting attacking play. If that had happened those banging on about the drum would take the credit. (Pun intended)

  10. But it's 2 points less than either team could gain over us. They can't both add their points together to both stay up over us, it's still one point for both teams.

And I want Hartlepool to win, we should be looking up, not down, if Hartlepool catch us, we deserve to go down.

Personally I think a Pool win is best for us. The fact is every time there is a draw a point disappears into the ether.
