I only missed yesterday. Went on a stag weekend. Saw who the opposition were so didn't feel too guilty about agreeing to go on a weekend away on the same weekend as last game of the season.

So Adam has been to a couple of games. I wouldn't class that as saying "they do go", especially considering one of them hasn't. Basically, of the two, one hasn't been this season and one goes about as regularly as you go to Latics games. So I wouldn't really class that as them "going".

If you read the thread, "many" haven't said that. About 3 have. And the only reason they have mentioned United or City is because someone has asked the question. I know I said that, and also qualified it with the point that they have no reason to be obsessed with everyone like they are. If you have met more annoying Latics fans than United fans, we can only assume that you have only ever met about 5 United fans. Or you think that the 2 lads you mention in your post are representative of most United fans. I know the lads, so I know that in some respects they are representative of most United fans (they never go, nor do they even attempt to. And as I pointed out to Andy the other week, he is absolutely deluded if he thinks they are crap/having an average season.) But seriously, they aren't really representative of most United fans that they majority of us have met, as you can actually talk to them about football.

Another reason I can't stand United at all...there fans have absolutely no sense of perspective whatsoever. A good friend of mine who is a red (closest he ever gets to OT is the TV screen in the pub. Therefore he thinks he is a proper fan) said to me the other day, "If they give O'Shea another contract, I am giving up." He sounded like he meant it. I was astounded. They really haven't got a clue.

Occasionally you can meet a City fan who goes to games and is alright. Its a rarity to find that with the other lot. I can't stand either of them. I don't prefer City. I just hate United more. I can't stand how arrogant they both are. But the one thing that really annoys me about United fans (even more so than how utterly clueless they are) is how obsessed they are with everyone else other than themselves. In the last 20 years, no one has been even close to being as successful as them. Yet whenever you speak to their fans they are always going on about City/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal. And the songs they sing... they are always singing songs about others misfortune, when you would just think "why do they care about anyone else at all?" And that banner they have too. I mean, what the hell is all that about? Why do they care how much City have won in the past however long it is? Why don't they just concentrate on the amount they have won. I can understand why City fans hate them so much. They are the absolute worst for gloating about anything and everything. If you had them lot reminding you at every possible opportunity that you hadn't won anything for a generation, then that must be horrible. That being said, I can't stand City and I hope that banner stays up for many more years yet. They are both horrible. This question is like being asked "Where would you prefer to be kicked? Shins or Bollocks?"

I think I am in the minority thinking that he got the decision right. Ronaldo tripped him up as he was falling over. He didn't mean to trip him, but it did stop him making an attempt to get back so was a foul. Plus, as Garcon said, if the ref wasn't so determined to keep it 11 v 11 then Real would have had a few men sent off. How the hell Carvallho stayed on the field I will never know. Saying that, I always think that when I watch Cavallho defend.

Just out of interest, has anyone actually declared that they will no longer go because of the new badge? I will be amazed if they have.

Personally I do think the loan system needs looking at as far too many players are out on loan at the moment. But I don't see what thats got to do with our evil owl.

From reading this thread, it would seem that the people moaning about the people moaning are making it a miles bigger issue than it actually is. It is a crap looking badge though.

The IPB app basically is safari. Its good if you use a few different forums which run on invision power board, because it saves your passwords and makes them easy to access on your phone. If OWTB is the only one you use, you might as well just use safari and save OWTB to the home screen.

It was good to see that the 'Yeds did what we couldn't, and absolutely smashed Rochdale.

Not like just any other team that wins promotion though because (history he may be) the bloke is a Latics legend and I would hope we all remember him for what he did whilst he was here and hope he does well in his future career. One of the good things about being a football fan is that you can look at players/managers you have had in the past and hope they do well. You can also look at players/managers who you dislike from the past and hope they do s***e!! John Sheridan is a Latics legend. Delighted for him. Hope he continues to do well.... just hope its not as good as us next season.

I've had a 3GS and a iPhone4, and I have never ever had a problem making calls that I haven't had with any mobile I have ever used (basically, the network being a bit dicky). I have a black plastic hard cover on mine (think Ack has the same) and it looks really smart. Doesn't really bulk the phone up at all. And basically, the whole thing is just a quality piece of kit.

I cant wait for the playoffs to start. I've booked the 3 days off work between Easter and the Royal Wedding, so pretty much every night for 10 nights I can stay up til some stupidly late hour watching the playoffs.

United are lacking for nothing. I watch Oldham Athletic every week... I can show you a team which is lacking. United are lacking for nowt...and Carrick plays in most games. Carrick has played in 36 games this year. Of which United have lost a whopping 3. Ferguson has just given him an extended deal. If he was one of the worst midfielders they have had in the last 10 years (ala Kleberson) then he wouldn't have extended his deal.

I think it's interesting (and pretty impressive) that anyone can pick 5 "legends" out of first 10 years of this century. 10 years in which we have stagnated in division 3 and been generally (apart from a couple of short spells) been pretty s**te.

He has played for a big club already in his career and wasnt good enough. Plus he is cracking on a bit. And they won't be looking to replace Carrick anyway.
