  1. I think you missed his point there. Chesterfield moved 1 mile away from Saltergate.
  2. Sh*t, I forgot that you parade the balance sheet around on a open top bus. The massively succesful MK Dons are still a 3rd division club. And I will repeat myself: Plus, their "success" doesn't make moving correct. It's still massively wrong.
  3. No, what would most likely happen is Curzon would go out of business (just like the local MK non league team did). If all these Latics fans are so desperate to go watching football in Ashton with their progressive forward thinking council, why don't they just start tomorrow. Home Vs Lancaster (3pm kick off).
  4. Thats how important the JPT is... I'd forgot they won it. And promotion back to where they were when they started. Massive success. Plus, their "success" doesn't make moving correct. It's still massively wrong. I'd rather the cub died trying in Oldham than moved out of town permanently.
  5. I have known you're thoughts on the town for a long time. Still doesn't mean that signature doesn't make you look like a right stupid c**t.
  6. Have they? They have done nothing since moving. They were a third division club when they left Wimbledon, and they are a third division club now.
  7. And what would happen to Curzon Ashton? They do have supporters, and people who have worked hard for them over the years to get them and keep them where they are today. Would we just go there and tell them to do one? The big boys are here now. If the people of Ashton (or even Tameside) really wanted league football, they would get behind the many many non-league clubs that they have got and earn it.
  8. Why on earth would Rochdale entertain the idea of leaving Spotland?
  9. At this time, maybe more than ever before, we need the town right behind us. So yeah, let's go and tell everyone that we hate it. Should do the trick.
  10. I don't. I like the town. It's just it's leaders that are :censored:e.
  11. Eyresy is a legend. Absolute class player. Would have been a fourth division club without him. Even might have been a club out of existence without players like him and Sheridan. I'd turn up to games just to watch Eyres. As good as players like Gregan and Dux were, I couldn't say that about them. Taylor isn't. Yet. He has got plenty of time on his side to become one (if he doesn't leave.)
  12. I am pretty sure that is not correct (but I'm not 100%). We will hold his registration until his contract expires, and if he is released he can move elsewhere. He is on "non-contract" terms, but I am certain there has to be an actual contract in place (maybe one week deals or something). What can't happen is that he is transferred from us to another club, but he can become a free agent after the window closes and move to another team. If he is released in the middle of Feb and then is out of work for a few weeks I am sure another team is allowed to pick him up.
  13. Stelling is perfectly suited to Soccer Saturday and they would be stupid to move him off that in my opinion. Couldn't see them giving him loads of extra games to present and keeping him on that. The presenting job shouldn't be too hard to fill. As presenter, you don't have to have massive football knowledge. His job should just be the link between the game and the "experts" giving their "expert opinions", so that shouldn't be too hard a gap to fill.
  14. Just read this: http://www.beehivecity.com/television/andy...side-job989874/ This suggests that they were just making sure they could definitely sack him before doing so. He will definitely get another job, doing exactly what he has been doing at Sky. Probably in the USA where he covered the World Cup, or in Asia. Anyone who has watched Premier League games via dodgy online methods will have recognized pundits like Steve McMahon and Warren Barton on some random foreign channels.
  15. She doesn't look impressed. She doesn't look disgusted either. She actually looks like she just ignored it completely and got on with her job. It's not sexual harassment at all. It's just a old, balding bloke doing a very bad attempt at flirting with an attractive young lady. If Sky go back through all their unbroadcast footage they have on record, and reprimand all their staff they have caught saying inappropriate/slightly flirty things to those attractive presenters that they have, then I reckon they would have hardly any staff left.
  16. We won't get first pick. We won't finish bottom. I think we will have a decent second half of the season and finish somewhere around 5th bottom. One bad season. Next season will be business as usual.
  17. 4-0-1 in our last 5. This is one long pre-season before next year.
  18. Look, Allan you weren't there, but we agreed on Saturday that if the winner is to get an Away day for free then we are best letting Josh win. Josh will most likely be pissed enough to sleep by half 2 (pm) and it will be a relatively cheap day for the three of us. Lets just call off the dogs and stop chasing him. I'm happy finishing second to him...
