  1. Just managed to get through a music festival with one battery charge on the iPhone 4.
  2. Oh, and Jarrett has looked OK, but a fully fit Gregan will walk straight back into the side. And so he should.
  3. It's very easy to read too much into that tonight. We were impressive. And beating a full strength premier league side is impressive. But, we are a week ahead of them in terms of getting ready for the season (they start the week after) and sometimes in friendlies, teams just dont try enough. It can be just about getting fitter. Remember, Orient beat Newcastle 6-1 last pre-season. My hopes (top half)/expectations (lower half but safety) for the season haven't changed after that, and what I expect of Bolton hasn't either (lower half of table but safe). By the way... how dirty were they?!
  4. Stayed here last month, damn good fun. http://www.gillsidecaravanandcampingsite.co.uk/ Couple of good boozers in the village, and can walk up Hellvellyn (sp?) if you are that way inclined.
  5. Deffo drain the battery fully and do full charge. I did it for my first 3 or 4 charges. Can get 2 days out of my iPhone 4 now, whereas I only ever got a day out of the 3Gs. This signal problem... well I cant seem to replicate it on my phone. Happy days!
  6. So what you are saying is that Taylor's best ever game was his debut? Better than any of the games he played on the left wing? Right....
  7. Whilst that may not be true, I do think... Current squad - Sean Gregan = relegation.
  8. As I have only ever heard them on TV, I have no idea what they would be like if actually hearing them in person. I would hazard a guess that the people who have decided to ban them also have never heard them live. Everyone who I have heard speak about them who was at the World Cup loved them. It seemed that the only people who were moaning were the people watching on TV. So for that reason, I wouldn't ban them....plus, it's not like BP is usually rocking anyway.
  9. Apart from Chile and Honduras (games where Spain were anything but dull) every team Spain played stuck 9 men behind the ball and hoped to hit them on the break with their one attacker. Spain, showing why they are the best in the world by a distance, were incredibly patient and knew that if they stuck to holding the ball and passing and moving, sooner or later the chance would come. The gameplan worked for an extremely lucky Switzerland. On another day, Spain would have won that game 5 or 6 nil. But it was just one of those days. The other teams (Portugal, Paraguay, Germany and Holland) were all extremely sound defensively and difficult to break down. But Spain managed to do it in every game. The reason they weren't as exciting as we all hoped is more down to the opposition they faced than them actually being a dull team. Plus, any team that is so good that it makes Holland resort to kicking you out of the game to have a chance must be bloody good.
  10. Does anyone know a good way of fully draining the battery? Want to give it a full overnight charge. Currently its on 46%....want to get to 0% before 10ish.
  11. Got my iPhone 4 on Saturday....I walked past the O2 shop in town and there was a sign saying we have stock, so thought it would be rude not to. Cant seem to replicate the antenna problem on mine. Camera is miles better than the 3Gs and the HD camcorder is immense. The screen is sexual too. Very happy with it.
  12. Unless you get a few beers* in JSS.... *(actually, get a few beers in him and he just talks about his man crush on Sidney Crosby)
  13. They all work tirelessly, and the speed at which they turn defense into attack is pretty extraordinary. And it's bloody good to watch.
  14. As far as I know (and I dont know tbh) but don't you still have to score the penalty to get all 7 points? I know its a sitter, but if the guy puts the kick wide, do they get 0 points or 5 points?
  15. Thanks this thread is back on topic. That is a heartbreaking way for Ghana to go out....and it opens up a massive can of worms about whether Suarez was right/what punishment he should get.
  16. I watched the Argentina game for only one reason: 1. Lionel Messi
  17. Have you noticed how it sucks the life out of the 3GS battery just that little bit quicker? It's nice. I especially like the multi app when using twitter/safari. Very nice. Folders are pretty cool too. My phone now looks much neater.
  18. Messi must have had 10 good chances in this World Cup, but the damn thing will not go in for him. I have got him in my dream team...he could have won the thing for me on his own already!
  19. If Fabio Capello (former AC Milan, Roma, Real Madrid, Juventus - 7 x Serie A titles, 2 x La Liga titles, 1 x Champions League title) can't get England doing the business, then Stuart Pearce (sacked by Man City after a season where they only scored 10 goals at home and were nearly relegated) won't be able to do the business. It's the players, not the manager that is the problem.
  20. Some do look like men, but then there are others like Ana Ivanovic.
  21. So what you are saying is, deliberate elbow is only a yellow card offence? All Kaka did was brace himself for some idiot about to run into him for no reason.
