  1. I've no problem with professional football flourishing there...as long as it is done the right way. Milton Keynes doesn't deserve a league team. Wimbledon didn't deserve to have their club stolen. Ok, so Wimbledon go out of business then someone else who has earnt the right takes their place. There is a whole pyramid, so MK has stolen someone elses rightful place in the league. If they wanted a league team, the city should have got behind the local non league team and supported them to get them in the league. The FL stinks. And it was Lord Mawhinney who was part of the selection process for the cities. Thank f**k he is retiring soon. The whole thing stinks.
  2. And thats the problem. That city stole a football club. Professional football in that city needs to die, because the precedent that has been set is a big problem. Having a world cup stadium there is only going to help them survive/prosper.
  3. If Milton Keynes is going to get games, I hope Russia get the tournament.
  4. Why? They did. Teams like United do it, but they usually have the league/group stage qualification sewn up when they do it on such a large scale, so have earned the right to. Wolves, on the other hand have not got safety sewn up at all. If I were a Wolves fan I would be severely pissed off that the manager just decided to give up lose the game.
  5. So cos Lee Sinnot was a bit :censored:, it means he knows nothing? ;)
  6. I wouldn't say it was unequivocally yes, because the way he behaved ended up having a negative influence on the team at an important time. But, he was a very good player and that can't be denied (I just can't stand the guy).
  7. Milton Keynes is not a hotbed of football and has no history of football and shouldn't be considered. At all. The fact that Derby, Leicester and Hull have been overlooked in favor of MK is a disgrace. All 3 cities have a rich history of football in the city for over 100 years. Derby even regularly pull in 30,000 fans in the second tier.
  8. Yes, that was a great goal. Gary Kelly made a stunning save too. That Scunny game was crap, apart from the Eyresy moment of magic, and his ovation when he was subbed.
  9. CM - Richard Butcher....hard as nails! ... ... I'll get my coat.
  10. To be fair, our D has had some pretty big injuries. Kenny Phillips has been a huge loss. And AP not playing is a big loss too. The players replacing them just aren't up to scratch. It still not good enough though. It still in our hands though. Win our next 3, and we will make the playoffs, I am very sure of that (cos Dallas will cock it up). Eagles are a decent side offensively. They will always put points on the board. They will mess up in the playoffs though, they always do. I think you are being a bit harsh on Washington! They really aren't as bad as they seem....they just contrive to f**k it up all the time (like they did against the Saints last week). I was watching Colts and Saints games last night, flicking between the two. I haven't looked who the Saints have got remaining, but if they have 3 poor/average teams left to play, they won't go undefeated. They seem to keep scraping the games against the poor teams which will catch up with them. Having said that, they turn it on against the good sides, so hopefully for them they got 3 good teams. The Colts will go undefeated if they decide to go for it. Not sure if they will rest players in the last couple of games though.
  11. Colbeck is piss poor. But at least he puts a shift in, which cant be said for that lazy bugger that is Keigan Parker. Never have I seen a player so lacking interest. One of the biggest wastes of space I have ever seen in a blue shirt. He makes Richard Butcher seem committed.
  12. Gary Kelly against City in '99. Free kick in stoppage time, going right in the top corner. Somehow he managed to claw it wide and we held on.
  13. I'm a big fan of Di Stewart, and Kirsty (who is one of Tiger's many conquests, apparently...lucky sod). But numero one is the new girl on SSN, Charlotte Jackson.
  14. If its 8125 then the home ends will be more or less full. 8000
  15. Ah! Must have got them mixed up then. Sod it then, bang Molango on the list.
  16. Bloody hell! I just soccerbase'd it. Didn't realise it was after 67mins. Have we socred a last min winner against Swansea in recent memory, or am I just imagining it?
  17. No. Because Molango only played a few games for us, and whilst he was crap he did score a last min winner (nothing like the situation with O'Hallorans, but still, it was good). Butcher was awful all season, save for the very odd moment, in which he played something ridiculous like 38 games.
  18. It's a bit harsh putting O' Halloran and Molango in there....ok, they were crap, but O'Hallorans goal against Rushden should exempt him from such lists. Also, similar could be said for Molango against Swansea. Rob Scott can be left back. Parker has got to be in there also for me. A midfield pair of Butcher and Whittaker would possibly be the softest midfield pair in the history of football.
  19. Dean Holden. Michael Clegg. Ricky Butcher. Rob Scott. Mark Arber. Guy Branston. Keigan Parker. Jermain Johnson (basically for giving up at Chesterfield)
  20. With regards to Garnett, most of his Latics career was in the 90's (his best part) so I wouldn't have him anywhere near the player of the decade.
  21. I think the service would cost too much to run to make it viable. Hypothetically, yeah, I'd subscribe and still go to the same amount of games.
  22. Sheridan and Eyres...I would expect them both to easily be out there at the top of the vote. Both were class acts, the most talented players we had at this time. Also, both absolutely loved playing football and loved playing for us. Other players have shown as much commitment (Taylor, Ernie, Pogs etc...) and whilst they were good, they simply aren't as good as Shez and Eyres. Other players were really good, and deserve to be in the voting (Wellens, Porter, Hill, Hall, Murray) but they didn't love the club like these two so I wouldn't vote for them. Another thing in their favor...people say there is no loyalty in football nowadays. That's an accusation you could never level at Shez and Eyres.
  23. It's Eyresy or Sheridan. But I find it very difficult to pick between the two.
  24. They were actually 11-5...one of the only 11-5 teams ever to not make the playoffs.
