  1. It's all over the place Real.

More people to do what? The Fans' man-on-the-board puts in six hours a day for Trust purposes alone? How people have you got and how much do you want to do? I'm wondering that it may not need any more people, just management of the resources that are already at your disposal. This isn't a :censored:ing dig by the way Trust people, I just sense a lack of leadership and direction. As I've said before - let's see what you want to do and what you are doing, there might be some really quick fix solutions to get over with the crowd again. Trust popularity must be at an all time low - which, on the other hand, could mean that there's no need for a trust if the fans can't be arsed either.

  2. Tangerine dream why do you prefer non league football if you don't mind me asking? It's something I am keen to enjoy and experience more when back in the UK!

If I may; I've been watching non-league football for ages now and for me it's a bit like stepping back to the good bits of the seventies and eighties. cheap gutsy football at football grounds that have character. My sons both love it too. You don't even have to follow a particular team, just be a ground hopper - with loads of new grounds to find and experience, Frickley, Abbey Hey, Bamber Bridge, Kendal, Shelley, Leamington, Marine...

Some of the things I've seen at matches are a bit out of the ordinary too, like the singing announcer at Fylde, replacement linesmen from the crowd, players getting sent off then going to the snack van to get a pie and stand with the supporters, including step seven (NPLP) and below you can drink beer in the stands as well.

  3.

Living in Salford I follow my local side Salford City in the Northern Premier League - four promotions outside the football league - but still relish the odd visit to Boundary Park when Salford haven't got a game.

Mota is a decent player mate, all the best for the season.

so this post is going to confuse the hell out those who know my hubby....this could get interesting...

    I doubt it.

  4. So stadium requirements are fine but a standard for the playing surface is not relevant.

Have you not considered that this is one of the reasons that English football, whilst being 'beautiful' is so far down the international scale?

Blame the grass, that's a new one.

  5.

Trust members are paying the piper and getting a two finger salute though.

If you like being treated like a anonymous non entity, then fine. Personally, I don't.

    I agree.

Thanks for all sincerely held views.....Reality is "He who pays the piper calls the tune" Fantasy is ...well whatever you want it to be.

Get back in line then, drone.

  6. Rummy you seem to have all the answers... now put up or shut up.

I can't because I don't have these alleged 6 hours a day free without getting paid. Therefore, going by your cock-eyed argument, those who share the same predicament as me are restricted and cannot challenge the Trust leadership. Which is another :censored:ing load.

  7. And for balance.

As fans you have to decide what the Trust need to do for you, In my opinion fans demand too much of them - the Trust probably cannot possibly do what they want them to, so the trust should set out a more achievable targets for themselves.

    • The Board will be democratically elected by its members.
    • Decisions taken by the membership will be decided on a one member, one vote basis.
    • The Trust with the Club will develop strong links with the local community and strive to be accessible to all, discriminating against none.
    • The Trust with the Club will endeavour to make admission prices as affordable as possible, to as wide a constituency as possible.
    • The Trust with the Club will encourage young, local participation - playing and supporting - whenever possible.
    • The Trust will remain a non-profit organisation

Build something that's workable, not something that it will never, ever be able to manage.

  8. You are doing fine Barry, if someone feels they can do better they can put up or shut up.

    What a :censored:ing load.

It's not a valid argument, chiefly because the fans have no idea what the job entails - and subsequently, if the role (as outlined by Himself above) is non-paying and requires just short of a full working day to maintain, how many people could honestly "put up" as you put it? Unless you've retired from a long-standing job with an amazing pension or other extreme personal circumstances that would allow you to do so. I'm sure you'll agree, it eliminates quite a large amount a folk from being able to make themselves available for the job.

I could argue that the incumbent is there by virtue of there being virtually nobody else that could do it.

Let's put a few things out there that still haven't been resolved from last time he was a subject of debate on this website, y'know as a measure of their commitment:

    • Trust website to be updated (and this doesn't mean a new front-end, have you read it recently? :censored:ssakes)
    • Minutes to be made available to Trust members who cannot attend "Barry's Clinic" or the meetings, including (if there is one) a review of the Trust bank account.
    • Figures of paying members year on year
