  1. Labour up in arms about a policy they never felt necessary in 13 years of government. is it right that a couple who earn a combined 100k a year get a free school meal? of course it isn't. is it right that a retired couple living in Knutsford with a heated swimming pool get heating allowance? of course it isn't.
  2. Works fine on Edge. I cant see live option either but they did say its not complete as yet. If the live match option doesn't appear then I will cancel my sub.
  3. Never read the Daily Mail in my life, not once. The go-to daily mail insult is the one of the weakest things in modern politics and debate. What don't I get? I'm also not affiliated to any party and I am certainly not a lifetime supporter of a party.... I find that a ridiculous stance. I'd say I am a bit of contrarian. I have a major difficulty voting for any of these muppets. However, I do have common sense and can add up. I'll debate with you all day long if you want.
  4. Yep. But that was cross party... wasn't it.
  5. Policies that aren't deliverable. When you can't win, you can promise and pick populist policies that aren't properly costed and would, in fact, bankrupt the nation. The pension plans alone are insanely expensive. Extra holidays, tuition fees, hospital parking. Of course people like that. Just promise to give everyone a grand too and have done with it, the bribery would be complete.
  6. Why is it that the left always blame other factors, like the press, for losing elections? The left are really poor at accepting they sometimes (most of the time) lose the argument. The lost the big argument in the 80's and this manifesto totally ignore that. Unelectable in this guise.
  7. Total of the eventual cost of Labour pension plan from their manifesto. Just the 300 billion of your British pounds. No biggie.... ?
  8. I did, because the "seriously worried" fell silent and I for one found that very telling. I'm done in the thread though. Won't comment again.
  9. Opinions and boundary resorting to insults as usual. "You WILL have the same opinion as me!"
  10. that isn't what they said and wouldn't be wild speculation if they had. the subject is done.
  11. Me neither. But the club said it was done and it was. The rest of this thread is wild and unhelpful speculation.
  12. People are allowed holidays. ...but this entire thread was scaremongering bull. Can be closed now hopefully, along with the other rumour threads with no substance that turned out to be crap this season.
  13. Please report back with a report of what happened as soon as you know. Ta.
  14. Seems we got away with it. No news is good news and club just announced launch of new website tomorrow. Didn't the trust have a rep there to hear it? Or didn't they make a call to get the result?
  15. Once a hearing is scheduled it happens, but it may be immediately set aside. The club are unlikely to say anything as they said it was sorted. The Chron, who decided to run a story today, could easily report the outcome... but the won't because that would be actual journalism.
  16. I do. Four members of that Monetary Policy Committee are DIRECTLY appointed by the chancellor. Another member (non voting) is also sent by the Chancellor to sit in every meeting, advise and report back. The committees whole monetary policy framework, including interest rate decisions, is set to achieve one main target... the inflation target. Who sets that? The government does. They have to report to the government every time that target is missed as to the reasons why. This happens every month.
  17. Who are "their own" and who are "the rest of us" Just want to know where I fit and I can perhaps see which of them I have been in at various times throughout my life. Ta.
  18. Really piss poor article. Looks like if has been written after reading this forum and the official site. Zero journalism in that article. None.
