  1. "Duxbury... Duxbury... He's the leader of the boys and his name is Duxbury"
  2. Don't kill the mood [No-one needs to think about the prospect of Sammy Lee or Phil Brown being announced]
  3. Leaving in a more amicable way than LaticsLee anyway Don't hesitate to come back with some knowledge on non-league players, always found it an interesting read. Keep The Faith!
  4. They need to get their arses in gear and turn up! From what i have seen this season, there has been a distinct lack of leadership, no-one out there giving everyone a good kick up the arse! There HAS been a lack of desire at points too, but most concerning is the lack of urgancy in their play - 1-0 down in some games, we're passing the ball round in defence and getting no shots on goal - also pissing around passing it round the box is an Oldham trait of the last few seasons. Some of these so called professional footballers lack the bollocks to have a shot every now and then - never know, it might go in. Rant over?
  5. Reminds me of 09/10 under Mr Penney. Gregan apart, that side deserved to be relegated in terms of their desire and want to win a game.
  6. Everton (Mate used to support them in Primary school - yes that wasn't that long ago - stemmed from there) Blackpool (Their time in the premierleague made me like them more - always wanted them to win!) Burton Albion (Don't know why - always liked them, they always seemed to be an up and coming non-league team since we played them in 02/03) Rochdale (Again, abit of a weird one really - always want them to do well (when they're not in our league) local derbies are good with them, but i like to see them doing something, yes - weird) Torquay (Don't quite know why, just always liked them really) ------- Teams i always look out for --------- Manchester teams Leicester Blackpool Rochdale Bury
  7. A late surge when the players realise that :censored: is real and a kick up the arse? I'm quietly confident that we'll perform better than that.... i hope.
  8. Not even his second spell here? Gotta love Joe, but i feel it's not his time any more and we've got to think into the future and not be stuck in the 1980's.
  9. Tranmere L Hartlepool L Bournemouth L Shrews W Swindon L Col U L Carlisle W PNE W Bury D Yeovil D Crawley D Orient W
  10. Who says he has been even approached for the role? All whispers and rumours - nothing confirmed and no approaches or job offers made i believe. TP is still doing a marvelous job anyway, no need to worry.
  11. Most overused phrase of the week! Good to know he's firm on what he wants though, still think he'll be manager until the end of the current season with Dowie (or insert other name here) taking over then!
  12. I thought it was "All about us"? Oh well, onwards and upwards, Three points tomorrow Lads!
  13. What even the occassional, ":censored:! :censored:!" or "You scouse Bastards!" Admittedly, not songs before anyone picks out the technicalities!
  14. It's good but too long-winded. Will always be Jose Baxter Baby!
  15. I'm in Berlin next week - i'm definitely looking out for this!
  16. What's it like to have 4 stands?... What's it like to have 4 stands?...
  17. Posting in the early hours should be banned What was I thinking?!
  18. oafc-latics may be able to help you, i know he won't be going to the game - not sure if his dad will use his voucher or something though!
  19. Not at all, i just couldn't make my mind up - i guess this dire season has faded my memory of how much quality Keiran Lee had, being honest, i can't even remember much of last season any more - who played RM last term? Was it Marsh-Brown?
  20. I think it is hard to judge, the only thing swinging it for me is that we haven't particularly missed Keiran Lee IMO - we've had Wabara and Brown who have given us the same amount of attacking threat that Lee did, but also do the right things defensively most of the time. Lee was prone to getting caught out of position up field and that cost us on a few occasions, however, i would have loved to see how Lee would link up with Croft on the right side - could have been an interesting partnership and would have been deadly in attacking terms, providing somone could get on to their balls into the box. I'd say we've missed Taylor more than Lee, his threat was always there; even though he had many doubters near the end of his Latics career, his attacking intent was always clear to see - i think we have missed him on the LW with Montano being a very hit and miss player, although Obita seems to be a much worthy replacement for Taylor and has proved to be in the 3 weeks he's been here.
