  1. Depends, if you bring in a manager with a tough regime, i think it may be what we need. Someone who will kick the players up the arse 7 days a week and someone who isn't affraid to have abit of squad rotation to give youth and fringe players a chance. But who's out there, off the top of my head... Andy Scott Steve Cotterill Mark Robbins Steve Eyre Nick Barmby Paul Peschisolido Gary Megson Phil Brown Paul Ince Sammy McIlroy Iain Dowie Dave Penney Paul Simpson Brian Laws Lee Bradbury Andy Thorn Andy Ritchie Les Parry If that's your list of candidates i'd be very worried. Out of that group the only two i'd like to see would be Steve Cotterill or Phil Brown, but i think wage and contract demands would be too much. Dickov In, for now... (Interestingly, Gary Neville has dropped from 50/1 to 15/1 for the Bury job tonight, something in it or just people being stupid? can't see it happening myself, with his role on SS and in the England camp)
  2. 3 points minimum. Should be winning at least 1 in our first 4 games.
  3. We'd have easily been in league 2 or worse by now OR he would've turned it round and we'd have been top of PL after 2 games with Rob Purdie scoring the winners in both games.
  4. Cisak Grounds......M'voto......Byrne M'Changama Furman Hughes..............................Montano Croft............... ...........Smith Mix up of the formation a 3-2-2-1-1 In my honest opinion, I think croft could work very well in the second striker role, playing just behind Smith working his way round and using his strength to hold up the ball and pass it round. Would like to see Hughes given a chance and for people to actually pass to him! This is a very attack minded formation and i'm 99% Dickov would never use something like this. Probable Line-Up Cisak Grounds Tarky M'voto Byrne Montano M'Changama Furman Croft Simpson Smith I'd guess it's back to the standard 4-4-2 with the undroppable Simpson having a go up front with Smith.
  5. Who do you propose we put on the bench then?
  6. In - but he has 7 games to prove himself, if not then it's time for a change.
  7. +1 - yet i still enjoy going.. i'm frustrated but i'm hooked.
  8. Smith and Taylor next game. Drop Simpson, show him he's not undroppable.
  9. Grass isn't always greener on the other side eh. Least we sent 35k on ours
  10. Sounds like he had mental aswell as attitude problems. No Thank-You.
  11. Bollocks. Bollocks. Bollocks. Talking out of your arse.
  12. Me and my grandad were saying this.. Quite solid defensivly but can't score for :censored:.
  13. Both were boo'ed off at half time. Pathetic and Pissed Off.
  14. Wow, a fan that is more delluded than Dickov. I like the kit.
  15. Was Winchester on the field today, i think he went missing for 45 minutes.. I know he's young but ffs, he should be eager to get out there and stuck in and to try an earn a place in the team. :censored:ed Off isn't the word.
  16. As the title says, i really do wonder what the :censored: that was? We simply didn't turn up at all today, Stevenage could have played 7 a side and we still wouldn't have done anything. Theres so many problems with the side and it is really causing me to question Dickov and his management ability. He is reluctant to change the system at times, yet when he does change the system, he plays a lone striker at home - does that really show positivity in a game? i think not. so what problems do we have? 1. No urgency what so ever - even at 0-0 early on, we show no urgency to regain the ball - which ultimatley seems to cost us again and again.. then we go 1-0 down and as time goes on, we still don't up the tempo and don't close the ball down.. :censored:, we even allow players to run right through us sometimes. 2. Lack of communication - Paul Dickov himself has said that we're a quiet team, but ffs, it's not hard to talk to eachother and organise yourselves on the pitch. We look Sunday league quality at times and can't even string 2 passes together at the best of times. 3. The Manager and his tactics - I'm sorry but i'm getting sick and tired of it now - i've already mentioned his reluctance to change the system and how if he does it's a negative change but another problem is that we seem to have undroppable players. Namely, Simpson, he's shown nothing this season, yet he seems to be the first name on the team sheet. How about trying Taylor or Smith for a change, if you don't try it, how do you know it won't work? 4. Constant backwards football - there seems to be no positivity in the way we play at all - all the time the players seem to be looking for the pass backwards rather than getting in some good positions and moving the game forward. If we don't play towards the goal, how do we expect to :censored:ing score? 5. No passion - this is clear, it seems as if they have no will at all to play for the shirt - players should be showing passion through every move and on every tackle, but it is just no where to be seen. From being at the game today, these things are obvious and i really can't understand why not. Dickov as a player was always one of the most passionate, positive and always looked to get stuck in, yet he can't seem to teach players how to do this. Is it time for a change? It saddens me to say that it is, or it probably will be in the very near future. We have started this season exactly the way in which we ended the last and it is unacceptable. Paul Dickov may be able to talk the talk but at this rate we will struggle this season.. Now, before the happy clappers jump at me, i like Dickov and i think he seems like a nice guy, but if he's not doing his job properly then surely he should be asked to step aside, the same with anybody in any other job. Dickov won't last long if this carries on.
  17. I like Clayton Park Pies. Most decent we've had since Pukka.
  18. Matt Chambers ‏@Matt_chambers_ Paul Dickov said "we can't do anything" when asked about loan to cover injured James Wesolowski, who is out for minimum four weeks#oafc
  19. i bet this guy could fire in the goals http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Taylor_(footballer_born_1976)
