  1. Probably is hypocritical of me, i'll attend the Latics match depending on the price, if they charge a tenner then maybe? if they said a fiver then i'd defiantly go.. providing we weren't smashed to pieces in the first game!
  2. :censored:e. rock-bottom attendance. out in the first round again? Forest v County though, looks like I'll be staying in watching that!
  3. Never even heard of him, thats how good he's been for Huddersfield...
  4. opening game- Rochdale (Away) Good away derby to start the new season boxing day- Huddersfield (Home or Away) Would be a good match to celebrate a win after Christmas new years day- Not too bothered, a big team at BP would bring in some income Easter friday- Chesterfield (away) - New ground, and bank holiday trip there easter monday- Rochdale (Home) - Nice bank holiday derby at BP last game- an already relegated team so we can have a party (if we stay up or go up)
  5. I agree that we do need a leader on the pitch - and don't currently have one... but i'mnot convinced that it's the difference between failure and success, Sean Gregan was a leader on the pitch and in his time here we won nothing, but he almost singlehandedly kept us up. Duxbury was a leader on the pitch yet we won nothing but we had one good season (02/03)... You could say to some extent yes, it could bring success, but otherwise no, it's a team effort.
  6. Think you've wasted your money but i can see why his name is in the frame.. Still think it will be a quick appointment with Gary Jones taking over myself. Why is Andy Ritchies name in though, i don't think he'd take the job?
  7. I think it will be a quite inside job with Gary Jones taking over... BUT... PLEASE BE PENNEY OR MOORE, it would make perfect chants on derby day
  8. I bet Leon McKenzie and Izale McLeod could still put in a few in our league.. Worth a punt?
  9. Well Done to AFC Wimbledon on their return to the Football League just nine years after they held open trials on Wimbledon Common! MK Dons Vs AFC Wimbledon next please!
  10. Time to move on after six years in the job, done all he can for them, fair play, the club will move on and hopefully move up into our league!
  11. Tranmere this season was pretty special, confirmed how much better we were compared to last seasons shambles!
  12. Losing 3-0 to Hartlepool last season, that was an awful Friday night, Dean Brill :censored: ups on free kicks! Exeter coming back from 3-0 down to come to 3-3 this season 7-1 Cardiff Play-Off heartbreak
  13. Hearing rumours of two new strikers on their way to Boundary Park in the very near future. Benji - obviously well known from the reserves, will sign this week, or so i hear Ryan Taylor - Striker from Rotherham, allowed to leave on a free this summer is set to move to us, turning down deals from Barnsley and Millwall... only scored 20 in 124 games though! Other Rumours - Less likely to happen Shane Higgs will join Latics from Leeds to offer competition for Dean Brill Leeds will sign Dale Stephens for 500k and will send Neil Kilkenny back for a third spell here Tom Eaves is set to move back on loan for next season to gain experience We will sign Clayton Donaldson from Crewe We we also sign Liam Dickinson from Barnsley Gary McDonald will return to Latics for a second spell when his contract expires in summer Rueben Hazell will turn down a contract at Latics to sign for Shez at Chesterfield Lee Hughes is set to return to Latics As i said, some of the latter are alot less likely!
  14. Might have been city fans watching Dickov's last game... probably not but you know.. and i'm the same as o4u, i didn't see it either and i was it the RRE
  15. Out of all of them i would want Accrington but i'm not too bothered who comes up in the end.. Accrington - Local, standing, :censored:hole which makes us feel better about Boundary Park Shrewsbury - Kind of local, nice new ground would be nice to go to Torquay - get the game played on a bank holiday it would provide a good weekend away Stevenage - Not played these before when i've been watching Latics so could be interesting!
  16. Morais confirmed his wish to stay with us on Twitter, so its over to the club to get in and offer him a deal
  17. Dean Brill - Keep, if he's cheap, if not i'd release, needs another good keeper for competition Josh Ollerenshaw - Release, I believe he has already been told he's going due to the Facebook comments? Paul Gerrard - Keep as Coach, good back-up for injuries Andy Todd - Past it, no need to keep him with new defenders coming through, coaching role may be an option Reuben Hazell - Keep, seems to be able to lead the defense and help any player settle, although he does f*ck up alot Kieran Lee - Keep in an ideal world, will be alot of interest from elsewhere though, if the price is right and it can be re-invested into the team, sell Paul Black - Keep, can provide good back-up providing Evina is still here, good competion for Left-Back James Tarkowski - Keep, first games in the first team have been telling and he's going to be a star in the coming years Mathew Carr - Keep, can't see youth being released anyway, will feature in pre-season heavily Rod McDonald - Release, no point in keeping players who are just going to end up on loan Cedric Evina - Keep, sounds like the lad enjoys his time here, should be easy to pursuade Carl Winchester - Keep, after todays performance he shows ALOT of talent, pre-season will be critical in determining if he will be first team next season Ritchie Jones - Release, too much of a trouble causer it seems, don't need that influence on the lads coming through Dean Furman - Keep, I think its vital we keep Furman, the main midfield man and next years captain Lewis Alessandra - Keep, I like Lewi, he's a good talent but has never been given a proper chance, if he goes i think we can expect him at Chesterfield Chris Taylor - Keep, hope Taylor stays with us, will lead our Team next season, him or Furman for captain! Dale Stephens - Sell/Sold, not desperate to keep him in my eyes, not missed him THAT much Kirk Millar - Keep, not seen much of Kirk this season which is a shame, if Taylor is sold he could take his place I think Filipe Morais - Keep, shows real talent, I think he wants to stay aswell according to Twitter so defiantly get him signed up! Phil McGrath - Keep, not seen him, suppost to be a talent? Connor Hughes - Keep, again not seen him David Mellor - Keep, but never even heard of him.. Ryan Burns - Keep, young talent Deane Smalley - Release but hold out for as much compensation as we can Reuben Reid - Release, i'm sure theres better talent out there Warren Feeney - Sell, offer him to clubs, won't be too disappointed if he was to stay for another year though Ryan Brooke - Keep, if Royle is right, this boy has a future Djeny Bembo-Leta - Keep, looked good at the start of the season, was unlucky to get a training ground injury
