I brought my United supporting mates to the Barnsley game last week... They were laughing and joking about why they were going to see a ":censored: team" in the car up to the game. Once in the ground, the lack of scoreboard was bemusing to them. However, their verdict from what they saw on the pitch was that we were a very good and exciting team. They want to come back again and fully intend on coming to more games as a result of watching us play in that game. Now, that's three Man United fans. Trying to bring back some lapsed Oldham fans might not be that hard, if they actually sat and watched 90 minutes of how we're playing at the moment. As someone has said, a "Bring a friend for a fiver/tenner" promotion could be good if it's timed well and soon. I for one am very exciting with Latics at the moment. Very glad I got a season ticket.

We drew Wolves last year, probably the best team in the cup, and beat them. I'm personally looking forward to welcoming Liverpool on January 3rd.

It's weird, but I always want Dale to do well, as I do with many local clubs - as long as their sucess isn't at our expense then i'm happy for them.

That's a bit of a bugger. Lockwood is back in training I believe, although whether he's ready or not is another thing. Kasunga looked class against Scunthorpe and assume he'll be straight in for Peterborough. Dieng definitely deserves a chance over a new signing for the Walsall game.

Sounds very far-fetched. Although Blackpool have already proved this season that interviewing for a new manager whilst the old one remains in place happens.

Should have done about three seasons ago, imo.

Thought he'd get a League Two club. I like him, he certainly has potential to be a decent player.

I rate this squad quite highly from what i've seen over the last 5/6 games. With the defence coming together and beginning to look pretty solid - even if we did concede 2 tonight - with have given ourselves a great base to build on. Our pacey attacking play with Poleon and Forte in the team is also a very encouraging sign for me. Counter attacking football is becoming more and more important in the modern game, especially with teams experimenting with the 3-5-2 formation. With these players, we can catch teams out on the break, providing someone can finish at the other end. Should we sign Ebanks-Blake and maybe Kuszczak in the not too disant future, we could be looking at a top-half finish. Sneaking into the play-off's would be an absolute dream. Without going up though, i'd expect to see another big turnaround in summer, unless we start dishing out contracts to our better players.

Wasn't it LJ who came out and said Ebanks-Blake was in training with us? If it was that much of a secret, why say that in the first place?

Five games unbeaten. A point picked up tonight from being a goal down. New striker to come in within 48 hours, allegedly. Forte probably back in for Saturday too. More positive signs from Latics. Let's keep it going on Saturday!

Think we've got away with a few that could have been yellow cards, in the games i've seen. 3 yellows from 7 games is a very good record though. All the refs have actually been half decent too, giving the game a chance to flow and not booking people for the stupid/soft stuff, fair play.
