  1. Point taken on board. He won us 1 game out of the 24 he was involved in. A player of his supposed calibre should be having more of an impact on the season than he did. I'm expecting him to be better this season though.
  2. Or is it becoming better managed with realistic wages? Oh, controversial.
  3. Saw him play well once last season, Port Vale at home. Even at Carlisle he was mediocre, his goal was a touch of class, but other than that, nothing.
  4. Exactly the problem of limited money and investment. Downward Spiral - The stand will hopefully work to soften the fall and even improve the situation.
  5. I'll say it, we've never properly replaced Taylor or Lee for that matter. Crackin' players, both look good in the league above.
  6. Oh wow. There'd be a few pissed off Latics fans if this was true...
  7. Imagine us spending £200,000 on a player these days...
  8. I'm sure SkySports wouldn't be reporting from a nobody on Twitter...?
  9. Can't be Leon Clarke surely... He moved for big money in January didn't he?
  10. No, we made our money and it looks like a great amount for what he's done since!
  11. Cash in on JCH, use some of the money to get in a decent replacement. Doesn't sound bad to me, whether the latter would happen is another issue.
  12. Decision to made on his future during/after pre-season.
  13. Looking at the who we've got signed up thread, we look quite low on numbers, especially when we're waiting on Brown and maybe Wes on that list. I suspect though it will be 3 or 4 quality additions and then maybe younger developing players such as Kissock to come back. But... What do we know? Haha
  14. Oh yeah, just read that... Saw it confirmed on the BBC.
  15. Joe Royle gone to Norwich as football consultant.
  16. Another team who lived beyond their means. Sure, there's an arguement that they had the potential to fill the Ricoh should they have returned to The Premier League, but the huge risk of it is now clear. The amount of money they were paying was ridiculous though. Surely show's us that a 2500 stand, living in our means is better for us as opposed to a 20,000+ stadium which we'd be nowhere near filling.
  17. Not how the modern NHS works. Cut backs to the front line, increaces to the backroom administrative jobs. Unfortunate, hopefully something that could change... Probably won't though.
