Injured for large parts of the season. Proved to be a liability in some instances, personally I see him as a defensive liability a lot of the time, but that's just my opinion. I don't think he'll get a new deal, because of his injury record.

Now that Tranmere are down, I'd love us to be on the phone to Ryan Lowe to try and sign him up... Experienced and scores goals at this level. Obviously didn't help Tranmere stay up, but given a solid defence like ours, he's the kind of man that will punish the opposition. Joe Mills is another I'd like to see back. Thought he was a very good player in the first half of the season. Our chances of getting him must be helped by Burnley going up to the Premier League too... Any other ideas? It was a very one-sided refereeing performance. But as you say, the big decisions were spot on.

There was another team this season [Walsall I think] that studied penalties taken by Adam Rooney and he went the same way every time. His penalty was saved and could well have been his last kick for Latics... Doing your homework is very important, Billy was doing the video analysis and what not early season, don't know if that's still his role in the club...

Hopefully we'll see the better out of him next season, like what we saw in cup competitions. I think he's a very good player personally, but has had the tendency to go missing in games. But, he's still young, which is an advantage. Great news that one contract extension is signed... hopefully more to come this week and next week before they all go on holiday.
