What if we happened to sign a striker (of the Ryan Lowe build, maybe even Ryan Lowe) who can score goals? Last night we didn't look good offensively because JCH can't run the front line on his own, certainly not every game anyway, with a decent strike partner, i think we could do well.

Sheridan and Eyres more modern day legends, for those of us who never saw Ritchie, Royle etc.

Crawley play Bristol City on Saturday so a 12th place finish is almost certainly out of the question unless there's a 13 goal swing. 15th or higher now looks like a great achievement...

I agree Chaddy, one of the more entertaining games we've seen at BP this season. Certainly better than Coventry last week anyway...

Joking, of course. Although, in my opinion, i'd rather have Wes than Smith in my midfield. He's the better player from what i've seen this season. Smith impressed me when he came in at the end of last season, maybe he's given himself a lot to live up to? As i say, he frustrates me. But, this is why we love football, opinions game.

And it's a good job that you are not the manager then, Wesolowski has been our best player this season, yet you still have a hate for him... I hope he signs a 10 year contract extension, just for you!

He wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but he frustrates me so much. I wish he'd just go for it sometimes, take that few extra yards to run, rather than taking all the pace out of movements. I don't want to seem like i'm against Smith, but if it comes to it, I won't be disappointed if we sell him in summer and find a more suitable, attacking replacement. If we keep Wes alongside that is anyway.

Get's back up, chases down and wins the ball back too. Adds something different to captain cautious who slows the who pace of the game down when he gets the ball, stops, thinks, passes sideways or backwards.

Not experienced enough or mature enough to run the front line on his own. Needs someone along side him and no, not MacDonald.

Can't do much when everyone puts 2 men on him all game.

Credit to all who played tonight, great shift from the lads, even with nothing to play for we looked like a decent team. Worrall, seemingly a revelation at left back, definitely his best performance in a Latics Shirt. Kissock, Great find for me, both times i've seen him he's looked busy - willing to get forward and defend too, hope we sign him. Wilson and Lockwood also very solid. Brown had another great game, very mature performance from him tonight. Onwards and Upwards. 9 games unbeaten.

Am I the only one who isn't bothered if we sell Smith? I'd rather keep Wesolowski and have a more attacking partner for him.
