  1. Being the worst stand in the ground, when it had no roof, there was probably no argument. These days, arguments will never stop until the Chaddy End is slung down and re-built to a better standard and can become, arguably rightly, the proper home end.
  2. It's close to Boundary Park and has free parking. Lot's of people use elk mill and also probably buy shirts from JD Sports, which won't be an option if we move kit supplier. Oldham town centre costs to park and has relatively no good shops left bar Debenhams. I'm pretty sure Elk Mill would be a viable option, if we were to shut the club shop.
  3. It's a shame there's not a spare unit on Elk Mill, I get the feeling that a club shop would do better there than it does at BP.
  4. In the league we've been moved for... Bradford Wolves Preston Coventry Sheffield United Notts County We were also asked to move for Crawley but people still stayed in the RRE. So, 6/23 games, usual for a season? I think we've just been unlucky in that the games have fallen at the end of the season with 3 consecutive games.
  5. Shows through the lack of stock two months into the season. The none re-stocking of kids/baby kits to which a few have complained and got nowhere trying to get one. The shop is a shambles, but could be something better. Getting a nike/adidas big brand on board could surely help more, as opposed to having a :censored:e fila brand again.
  6. Spot on. The thirst for knowledge of everything takes the piss.
  7. My source says yours source is talking :censored: and that it's just a huge building for Brassbank to wave their cock and bollocks from.
  8. Tarkowski. Until he jumped or was pushed off the ship.
  9. The clause stipulated on the Season Ticket application form reads... "Oldham Athletic reserve the right to relocate supporters from their allocated stand for individual matches whilst the developmental work at Boundary Park continues." No mention of bigger crowds, money saving or any particular stand to be moved from... That's for next season anyway.
  10. If they make a nice, good quality shirt, then i don't care what it's called.
  11. Hopefully Adidas manufacturing the shirts for next season with an Adidas shop at BP. More likely be some :censored:e like Sparta or Carbrini again.
  12. You're paying £20 for a product on the pitch. In effect, you're guaranteed to see that, albeit in a different part of the stadium on these occasions. Whilst I agree that moving is unnecessary at times and that the small section should be opened but it shouldn't stop you from going, enjoying the game. Like I said before, go in the Paddock - get there early enough and you get a seat nearer the back with a good view of the pitch.
  13. Christ. Dig as much as you want. Find as much as you want. You'll come to the same :censored:ing answer. Brassbank own the land because they bought it from the council. They used THEIR money, to buy the land, which so happens to have a football ground built on it. They can do what they want with it, once the football clubs lease is expired. They are also close friends and colleagues with Simon Corney, who just so happens to be the owner of the football club. They won't screw him over because of this. Simon Corney has a close affiliation with Oldham Athletic and thus, probably won't screw us over, which in turn, means the other two won't. I trust all involved in what they are doing. You can think of your own conspiracy about such things, by looking at the finer details, but in truth, even if it was dodgy as :censored:, what can you do? Absolutely :censored: all. Rant, over.
  14. We got moved for Notts County at home in 2010. Although, we did get the small section.
  15. Just close the 'I' secment in the large section and allow home fans in the small section. Incraced police costs seems weird seeing as Rotherham filled out the small section with home fans everywhere else... So what did policing cost in that game? I may misunderstand, but home fans in the small section is the eqivilent of having away fans in the small section on a normal matchday... Bar the slightly bigger crowd, eg. Yesterday.
  16. Coventry made more noise from the RRE yesterday, in the first 15 minutes when they were chanting anyway. Chaddy End roof won't get re-done, the whole Chaddy End will... Don't see the problem in having a stand similar to the RRE to replace the Chaddy End, seems the right way to do it really
  17. First time I've seen Latics since the Crawley game, so I can't really comment on how he's done over those weeks. However, based on today, I don't think he's that good... I prefer pacey wingers, who move forward and get the ball on the box one way or another. I hope he proves me wrong of course, I'll hold my hands up if he does
  18. We're going on the Official coach, £20. Sidenote, never been on the coach (apart from Liverpool) where do they leave from, Sheepfoot Lane or the Car Park?
  19. We severely lacked any tempo to our game once the ball had passed the half way line. Probably could have gone on to win the game, if we'd have straight out attacked them in some of the chances we had, rather than looking to pass the ball sideways or backwards. Overall, two poor teams, two teams who wanted the point and it suited us both in our bids for survival. Rachubka - 6 - Nothing special, poor kicking at times, one real save to make? Brown - 6 - Did his job, doesn't get forward quite enough Lockwood - 7 - Job done, iffy positioning/passing at times Wilson - 7 - Solid, did his job Grounds - 7 - Some great balls from him, played well and would look to sign him up, asap Worrall - 5 - Didn't think he was good enough, provided more defensively but doesn't push on enough for my liking Wesolowski - 8 - My MotM, played excellent in the middle of the park, got himself about, no messing about from him Smith - 7 - Not as good as some performances, but still did his job Harkins - 5 - Another who didn't really do much, but most probably injured Philliskirk - 5 - Wasn't really involved to a massive extent, seems to go missing and don't see much of him Clarke-Harris - 6 - Can't fault his effort most of the time, just needs a partner up front IMO Dayton - 6 - was alright, some good moves and added abit more tempo when he came out, another who faded away though MacDonald - 6 - alright, again... he was needed earlier IMO, but his impact was unfortunately not seen on the score sheet
  20. Changed my mind on Worrall, from today's performance anyway, thought he was absolutely dire. Although in general, we weren't much better. I think we need wingers that keep the tempo of the game going, prepared to run down the wing with the ball, rather than stopping, passing back to the full back or into the central mid. I'm all for the "possession game" but it aint half boring and we aren't very good at it.
  21. Dickov gave himself a large expectation to live up to after that first 4 or 5 months. Then we went :censored:.
