  1. Injuries? I'm not a fan of him to be honest, he's seemed more of a liability every time i've seen him play.
  2. Let's hope the promotion clause money goes straight into the stand. Too optimistic?
  3. Evans said that he would be back at Rotherham in and past summer. Although, if they go up, he will probably be surplus to requirements.
  4. St Mirren may simply want rid of Harkins and may let him go for free, as we did with Rooney. I can see him attracting attention of other managers in our league though, who may be willing to pay him more than we can do. Depends on the players priorities, he hopefully genuinely likes playing here and being here, meaning he'll commit to the long-term project and vision LJ speaks of.
  5. I was joking, although Connor Brown hasn't been too bad recently.
  6. Results also went our way tonight... Brentford 1 - 0 Crawley Peterborough 2 - 0 Gillingham
  7. Snap him up. Cover for Connor Brown, obviously...
  8. I wouldn't be surprised to see him somewhere on Merseyside next season.
  9. Me + 4 others for Carlisle. Should be a good day!
  10. Yeah most probably. I believe Stoke pay for away travel for all fans for every game, or something like that.
  11. A top half finish isn't unfeasible... Would be ridiculous and a great achievement and turn around if we did nick 12th!
  12. Bradford 0 - 3 Latics (0-2) Philliskirk 15,002
  13. That's what it was known as when I first started going... so that's what sticks.
  14. It will always be the Lookers stand to me. However, The Joe Royle Stand or The Royle Stand would be great... surely this can be done?
  15. Oh well... I won't renew buy a season ticket until we get heated seats and waitress service, in the RRE.
  16. 6 Preston players. That is huge and devastating news for them! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2596135/Seven-Football-League-players-arrested-connection-spot-fixing-six-rearrested.html
  17. Unless i've mis-interpreted... Latics paid £5million for the Lancaster club. Council bought it back for £5.7million. Effectively giving us £700,000 to put towards the new stand. I think...
  18. Barry Owen running a football club, single-handedly. Jesus. On that note, I think it's time for bed...
  19. In an ideal world, of course it should be like a co-operative. But in Oldham, with just over 3000 coming through the gate, you won't get that. This is why we are now treated as the customer rather than someone within the club. The changing nature of football and the domination of the financial side obviously hasn't helped either.
  20. Because the Trust wouldn't be able to run a football club in it's current predicament, it would have to reform and open up to the masses in order to sustain itself as the owners of Oldham Athletic. The Trust in it's current state, doesn't allow this opening up - 97% shareholding by Simon Corney probably doesn't allow it either.
  21. It's all about PR. They aren't going to come out and say that the fans aren't entitled to know anything, they're obviously going to parade their welcoming open-door policy - a way of engaging with fans and keeping them happy. The reality is quite different, isn't it? Why don't you email Simon and demand that you know every innate detail about the football club and it's financial dealings. We'll see how open-door it is then. This isn't a dig at Corney either, he's doing his best in a :censored: situation. I just don't understand some fans lust for knowledge of everything.
  22. No it doesn't change the reality. The reality is that you won't get that sort of access to information at board room level. Have we ever, since having the trust, had that much information about anything from the club? I might be abit too young to remember early on, but from my reckoning I don't think so. If you want to talk about reality, we will never get that sort of transparency unless we were fan-owned, and we might as well fold the fecking club should it come to that.
  23. Yes, it did 10 years ago. Again, we're getting into the Trust debate, something which I don't want to get into, however, changing roles of the "Fans Representative" and the demise of the Trust since it's inception means we don't get that information. Plus, I guess to be part of that 3% stakeholding you have to actually be a part of the trust. I don't know anyone that actually is... I'm not supportive of that idea, but that's the way it is.
