  1. I'll come in on loan to goal hang for 90 minutes... Fox in the box!
  2. Unchanged from Saturday. Rachubka, Brown, Lockwood, Wilson, Grounds, Worrall, Smith, Wesolowski, Harkins, Clarke-Harris, Philliskirk.
  3. There musn't be one. United and other teams change their kits every season. We're just following suit and 'maximising' the commercial aspect of some fans buying a shirt every year. If it's nice, i'll get one, this seasons' were a poor effort.
  4. Roy and Gordon reckoned about 50-100 more fans came in to the ground after they announced the attendance at Crewe. I'm sure they announced it (to the press/LP at least) about quarter past 3.
  5. PVC stuff. But if it's anything like last seasons dark blue shirt then mine hasn't come off at all. Much better quality that the previous Carbrini/Fila shirt I had.
  6. Winchester has never had an extended run in the team, under two managers and 3 and a half seasons. How can we justify giving him a new deal if he's getting nowhere near the first team and when loans are prefered over him.
  7. I can't see many singing Robbie Simpsons name, opinions4u!
  8. I'd imagine the lower teams like St Mirren/St Johnstone/Partick Thistle are easily League 2 standard, maximum.
  9. Adam Rooney, been and gone. As usual, scoring goals for fun post-Latics. Who next? Sidney Schmeltz scoring 40 next season?
  10. Yet one of the best football films made. Legendary!
  11. We all know that Barry is in a difficult position and is in very deep on the board these days. We all know that the trust needs a reform and change, no better time to start that process than now. We all want the best for Oldham Athletic. So, let's just all bloody get on with it. We're all Latics fans at base level, at the end of the day.
  12. But, you'd have to acquire support of Barry and/or the current board of the trust. Could this be done? Anybody's guess... they seem content with Barry at the helm to me. Although, to keep it positive, i fully support your ideas oafc0000.
  13. The way I see it is that the Trust will never evolve or move in with Barry "in charge" - he's in far too deep on the board these days to represent our interests properly. But, A relaunch would also need his support or for him to be overthrown, but this isn't 20th Century Russia, afterall...
  14. I'd rather be in League One than the Conference. Simple as that.
  15. Going to be a very hard game. Many tipped them to go down as they had so many games to play, mostly 2 a week, but, after their enforced break, they've come back refreshed and found some form, bad news for us and everyone around us. It really is a must win for us. If we don't win, I fear for us, I really do. I'd go with this team... Rachubka Brown Wilson Lockwood Grounds Kissock Wesolowski Byrom Harkins Turner JCH Turner and Kissock are a must start for me, if Kissock is fit that is. Turner and MacDonald could also be an option but i'd like to see if Turner can link up with Clarke-Harris up front, might be our saving grace. Isn't the time to be dicking about with the team, but I'll give anything a try now - used 39 players and may even use our 40th if the new lad plays on Saturday.
  16. Seats and concourse done for regular fans by that point.
  17. Try it again, Rummy. After a public statement like that, he might be more welcoming.
  18. Nail on the head there. It's a business, as much as I hate to say it and as much as others hate to hear it. It works in exactly the same way as any other business. It has assets, in this case the major asset being land. It's employee's (the players) produce a product (football) which is bought by the fans. So in this sense, we are simply just a customer to the product. That's in business terms anyway. Of course, football is different in reality because of the passion it stirs from fans. However, just because we are fans, doesn't entitle us to decide everything, nor does it it mean we have to be involved in any decision making. I think Latics are a more open club, at times, than some others around the country. The meet the manager/chairman events highlight this and give an insight into the club. Corney puts it well in the article by highlighting that he has an open-door policy. So, if you doubt him, criticise him or whatever. Grow a pair of bollocks and go meet him, rather than hide behind the keyboard. If not, the best thing we can do is turn up on a match-day, cheer the team on and hope that it transpires into a Latics victory at the end of all of it.
  19. I think the conspiracists of OWTB like to claim and think that the cup money has gone back to Blitz. Admittedly some of it may have done, I highly suspect that the majority of it has gone into the black-hole of bills, Tax etc. Last years cup money seems to have ensured that we have had the same budget as last season, as opposed to the usual budget decline that we see year on year. The Corney-Outers can give as many reasons as they want to wanting him out, however, they do not have a solution to who takes over when he does go. Where does money come from? Who runs the club? The Trust/Fans have been touted by Corney in the MEN tonight, basically the impossible task. It's a shame it wasn't one of us who won that £108million on the Euros... well, I don't think most of us would be that stupid to put it into Latics... or would we?
  20. You know what, I think i might agree with you on something, HarryBosch. Strange!
