  1. Chaddy End needs bringing down, so does the Main Stand. In due course...
  2. I disagree. It would have and did alienate many fans as it looked to be a move out of Oldham. Depends whether you look at Postcode and what not. The best moves put forward to move the club, would probably have been SportsPark2000 to be built on Westwood Running Track/Clayton Playing Fields. Or the Ferny Field move to Chadderton, would have provided plenty of space for stadium and other commercial opportunities. However, staying at Boundary Park was always the best option, for me and i'm sure for the future of the club. Links with the motorway, bus links and not too far from Manchester make the ground accessible to everyone. It's also our traditional home, just a shame that the land can't and won't be built on to such as extent that TTA would have wanted under the first Oldham Arena plans. Bloody Nimbys and economic downturn!
  3. 2 pints of lager, a packet of crisps and a knighthood for Barry.
  4. Coming along nicely it seems. Suspect we'll see more significant change over the next couple of months and may actually see the makings of a stand, rather than a hole in the ground.
  5. Find it weird that we'd have been in Failsworth now had those plans come off. Makes me wonder if we'd have been any better off.
  6. Temporary uncovered stand? Tuesday night? If so, I remember that one, awful weather, awful game and a defeat.
  7. Take the remains to the ticket office and beg. Doubt they'll let you off though.
  8. Tranmere at home, 2001/2002. Bouncing down for 90 minutes and was sat (more like huddled near the wall) in the Lookers paddock.
  9. Latics 2 - 0 Bristol City (HT: 1-0) Philliskirk 3690
  10. I was nailed on to buy a kit this season. Then they turned out to be awful, shame really.
  11. A quick updated version of the above, new sponsors and slightly different collar.
  12. Only if I get a percentage of each shirt for the design
  13. Oxley Grounds Wilson Lockwood Brown Harkins Wesolowski Smith Worrall Philliskirk Stead ... Just read the OP, same team!
  14. They are quite large. The old carbrini little C on the arms wasn't too bad, shame they can't put a little F on if they're that arsed!
  15. Fair Point. He was my favourite player back in that season. Good strong centre back and will always remember that penalty away at Mansfield.
  16. Is he as good as he used to be? He's been around a lot of clubs now and never seems to get a deal tied down. 3rd Spell at Watford I believe.
  17. Yeah, i don't think we'll make the play-off's either. If it is 71/74 points to make it, then are we really going to only drop 13 points for the rest of the season. Can't see it, we'll drop 13 points over the next 10 games, never mind 17.
  18. 74 points was needed to qualify for the play-off's last season. We're currently on 33 with 51 left to play for. So, we can win the league* *mathematically speaking
  19. Best we can hope for is a top-half finish. Realistically, anything above 21st would be an achievement and would give us ground to kick on next season, in league 1.
  20. This article has gone up on the OS. Matchday seating request Oldham Athletic would like to remind supporters that they must purchase tickets prior to each game at Boundary Park. Once a ticket has been bought supporters are asked to sit in the seat allocated to the ticket, as there have been a number of recent complaints to the club's Safety Officer regarding seating 'issues'. The club thank our supporters for their understanding in this matter. Read more at http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20140402-seating-request-1339017.aspx#7Yi5rCZcCXFVRODl.99 It might just be me being stupid, or can we no longer pay on the day at BP?
  21. Couldn't the club scrap them. Then again, I wouldn't want to imagine the uproar when the £20 profit doesn't get put in the transfer kitty.
