  1. After today's clean sheet with a Tarky-less defence, do we particularly need him back? Don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but if we can carry on what we did today, we shouldn't need him. Big IF of course.
  2. Barry went into the club in the position of fans representative. Over time, his role has changed and he's obviously very involved in day-to-day running of the club - probably more so since Blitz left the scene. Naturally, he cannot reveal anything from the board, that Simon Corney himself wouldn't talk about. To add to this, his now more involved position, limits his duties of fans representative, going hand in hand with the crumbling TrustOldham. The only way forward from this, would be to have a liaison between Barry and the fans, someone inbetween who could disperse information quickly, when needed to, with Barry being busy, involved and making some major decisions within the Board room. I think people expect too much from our "Fans representative" - if there wasn't too much day-to-day work involved in his role, yes, i'd expect that he was more representative of our wishes/thoughts about the club. The changing nature of his role, has determined what now happens, thus leading to this same discussion every few months.
  3. From a quick look. No-one got it, better luck next time!
  4. Number 2 for me. Been in this league so long without any actual progress or regress. I've only ever known Latics in League 1 also, so that factors in for me. We'll be alright come May...
  5. Too much of a liability with his off-the-field problems. Would we want that influence within our young squad?
  6. Oxley Grounds Kasunga Lockwood Brown Harkins Wesolowski Smith Dayton Philliskirk Stead
  7. I'd guess he wanted to stay local? Not the most prolific, but i'll take that - can Tarky come back on loan with that or do we 5 in on loan now?
  8. Lee johnson ‏@LDJhepingping15s Just managed to sneak in @jonstead9 before the window shuts ( emergency loan) ... Goes straight into the squad for Swindon @OfficialOAFC

  10. Write a player off before he's had one minute on the pitch. Yawn.
  11. Not had an out-and-out since Hughes. Shame he had baggage.
  12. Latics looked half decent. Wolves looked decent. We weren't clinical enough. They were, kind of. They have better quality players and the money to buy and keep them. We don't. That was the difference tonight. 3 points out of Peterborough and Wolves isn't a bad haul though, better than I was expecting.
  13. Rochdale away. But at home, i can't remember one in my time watching Latics.
  14. I'll be there. Gutted i missed Saturday because of work. But sacrifices have to be made. Come on you Blues!
  15. Wouldn't bother. Simon will try and get an extra 20 notes out of you for that entertainment.
  16. Quick Summary of what he said... - Team talk mainly consisted of some home truths... asked them to dig deep and restore some pride. - Added that modern players aren't that confrontational in the dressing room - Attitude was positive and players led by saying that if they can score 3, we could score 3 or more - Heads didn't go down and 90% of the improvement was down to the players - Celebration was something different... "Snow Angels" on a muddy pitch - What football is all about, from your lowest ebb to giving everything and coming out with that - Boundary Park was rocking at 4-2 onwards, drove the players on - Drive, Passion and Desire won us today's game - Players and LJ took alot of stick from fans (but rightly so) - Time to learn from today and apply it to the rest of the season - Unbelievable in the dressing room at the end - clapping, cheering and elation - Players gave everything for the cause - Something for the manager, players and all fans to savour... one for the history books - His dad will be chuffed for him, despite them losing at Southampton this afternoon - Might see it as getting on over on former club (Gary Johnson that is) - Lucky to play under some good managers in his career (Wenger, Adams and Johnson) - Moulds his management career and style on all of his former managers, taking their best traits - Believes he has the same passion as Gary Johnson, but his philosophy is the main different between them - Would like to have a better and more successful career than his dad (who has been highly successful) - Another tough game on Tuesday - Some big budgets and teams in League 1 - Could be Wolves or Stevenage and it's still a massive game - Character and attitude are the main characteristics and today showed that - Already beat Wolves this season and we can definitely do it again.
  17. Mike Keegan ‏@mikekeeganmen7m Today, when Oldham came back from 3-0 down to beat Peterborough 5-4, @BrownCO2 lifted up the ref, kissed him & got a yellow. Magnificent.
