I think some fans wanted him to do well at Latics, so they resent any possibility that he could turn his managerial career around at another club. Genuinely nice bloke. :censored:ing useless manager.

I can't justify leaving Harkins out after his performance the other day. However, as other have pointed out he might be more of a weapon for home games. Both good players anyway.

We did focus on the left. 9/10 balls that went out went to the left wing. That said, I agree that he was unable to cope with their physicality and there was only one moment where he looked for the ball and that saw him make a decent run through the middle of the park. Both him and Philliskirk with marked out of the game.

Looked dangerous in the few balls that he got in the first half. However, we seemed to focus (wrongly) on the left wing rather than exploiting the right with Petrasso's pace.

Leaving Philliskirk and JCH is a hard option, but i think that MacDonald is our best striker and one of the players with a better footballing brain, I think he'd link up better with Harkins, being able to better read his game and get onto his flick ons, rather than Philliskirk and JCH who tended to move into the wrong positions on Saturday. Would like to Worrall given a run out if he's available, see what the hype is about.

Voted for Mellor. Could have been any out of Mellor, Wesolowski or Harkins for me. All played tremendously well.

Yes. I'm a firm believer of the long-term project in hand and believe that if we did go down, we could come out better off, providing we could keep the majority of the playing staff and that the new stand could continue it's development. Confident we won't go down though.

New managers bring a breath of fresh air to a club and have new ideas of how to run and manage a football club. Dowie/Sheridan/Dickov/Johnson - have all had some success (obviously, Dowie and Sheridan in the league, Dickov and Johnson in the cup) Wadsworth/Talbot/Moore/Penney - Apart from Moore, they were all pretty :censored:e (Moore wasn't nessesserily :censored:e, but his football wasn't the style wanted by the fans and TTA) they all got the boot within a year (or there abouts) of being manager here. That's just in my time supporting Latics.

I'm sure i read from a previous meeting that he has read things on here and that some posters on here should be careful what they put as they may give the opposition an insight into our game etc. so, Hi Lee!

Forgot we had Petrasso too... We have too many players to pick from! I would like to see what Worrall offers though, possibly switch Dayton for Petrasso.

Hope Rooney doesn't start on the right again.

Can someone ask about the future of Tarky? I assume we'll get the generic he's still an Oldham player - but you never know!

Yeah i'm joking - however, they were all probably 20+ goal strikers in their best seasons, i'd guess.
