    One thing i did like about him as well, he always wanted to take the chance to shoot. Was never short of confidence just to give it a go. As opposed to some players, Eg. Chris Taylor, who pissed about with it too much trying to walk it in.

    Dowie has been :censored: without him at all the other clubs he's been to. Must have had some impact on the strings.

    Always though Alessandra was a good player, particularly when he played on the wing under Dickov. Shame he was mismanaged and dropped down the pecking order following injury. Best of luck to the lad.

    Dickov never utilised Wes and Furman together. A 4-4-2 Diamond would have been better with Wes playing the Defensive role, whilst Furman was more attacking. But, nevermind, i'm sure Johnson will call it right.

    If they can produce on the pitch, as they seemed to this season, then they'll be able to attract fans. A promotion would also help. Only way they'll fill a 20,000 though would be PL football or at big cup games.

    Visted the stadium in Feb also (On the same trip as oafc-latics) It was stunning, it is up there with the best stadiums I have been to. It looks even better packed with fans as seen in your photos - the passion for the football in Germany combined with the cheap prices must make for a great spectacle, especially when at the game. Dortmund is on my list for stadiums to visit to, the 'kop' there looks absolutely stunning!

    Slim chance of promotion this year and it will come down to luck and the work that the manager and players put in to form and gel as a good team. That said, i'm not expecting promotion - anything better than Dickov and Penney will do.

    I suspect that Murray will be first team coach officially and will probably also run the reserves.

    Could have been an option that the player could extend for a year without negotiation. However, if Cisak has said he doesn't want to stay, then LJ would be stupid to take the deal and keep him. I know we could have made money etc. but then you run the risk of keeping a player on your books who doesn't want to be here and no longer has a desire to play for Oldham Athletic. Two keepers in now then?
