  1. My favourite moment of today was after the first goal when the bloke behind me said Bloody mills out of position again! His mate quietly told him that mills wasn't playing
  2. Y Unfortunately not in my opinion as all season we have looked likely to concede a goal at any possible moment no matter how well we are playing. Today was a case in point. All over them, attacking with speed and verve for 20 minutes and the first time they get into our half they need 2 touches to score. We don't make enough clear chances, we make far too many individual mistakes and always look likely to let one in.
  3. Unfortunately forte was limping before the end
  4. And then there are those of us who can't remember to make a prediction despite having two opportunities.
  5. pace of a greyhound but unfortunately the ball control of one as well
  6. Interesting. Just shows how fickle the football world is. They wouldn't have touched him with the proverbial after he left Plymouth, a good couple of months with Newport and he's attractive again.
  7. I would have agreed with you but I've spoken to someone who has some football contacts who have loosish associations with the club and they have told him we have met with Dowie in the last few days (to do or discuss what I have no idea). Another name of a similar managerial ilk and era as Dowie has also been mentioned. And it's already been a big start to the sporting year for gingers
  8. Someone told me Eckersley got man of the match today and they hadn't been drinking.
  9. Interesting that. I was looking forward to watching it (yes I know) as at the end of the game I was having a discussion with a bloke who sits on the row in front. He was saying the second goal was the keepers fault as he stood and watched it go over the line. I disagreed and said it was Wilson and Eckersley who pissed about. We said we'd watch it on TV tonight. I don't tend to get many right like that.
  10. And after I'd been persuaded to change my mind and go, bugger Ah well have a good one everybody
  11. sorry to be pedantic but you cut your coat according to your cloth and not the other way round. as you were
  12. Sorry got to disagree. Most of this squad was with johnson last year when for a period we were really competitive.Dunn may have been a good player but he's clueless as a manager. To think this board went all incendiary last year when Phil Browns name was mentioned.and that's not mentioning the crowd at £5 a head... The club is in danger of going to hell in a hand cart.
  13. Been working in Birmingham. Left at 4.30. Got off the M6 at 5.50 so thought I'd make it in time. Fortunately the m56 was stuffed and I didn't get home until 7.50 by which time we were one down. Phew......
  14. I know but this is owed ham. It could turn very nasty, very quickly tomorrow
  15. and I can't see the league table in this thread again. What is that about?
  16. Reminiscent of how he linked up with Daniel Johnson a couple of times last year.
  17. Yep no one can say the board haven't given him every chance
  18. what? I thought he was playing for Osset Albion /Town?
