  1. bloody students, I'd bring back national service or make them all sit in the Rochdale road end , did you ever see Churchill relying on a code?
  2. Pretty sure Port Vale had Newton and Ridley not forgetting Flannagan and Allen at Charlton
  3. Rude medic you need to get a life. This is exactly the sort of thing I do, and I know. Several weeks ago with 18 games left i decided we needed 18 points for safety I.e. 6 wins so I prioritised those games and the 6 most likely games to win I thought were Bristol c Notts co Grilling ham Crawley Crewe a Mk dons Well we've got 4 points from those games and a bonus 4 from Swindon and tranmere away, so 8 from the nine I hoped for. It's not quite as bad as it seems then. However I saw us tonight and we were dire. That leaves us with wins from Crewe Crawley and Notts well I don't think that's likely We need to nick some others Ktf
  4. yep I thought that too Ok it was high and a couple of yards beyond the back post, but I thought he could have come for it , arched backwards and caught it in both hands, rolling gently to cushion his landing as he fell. He's not a premier league keeper for me.
  5. Don't know as I was sat in the chaddywhere around 8 rows of fans on the rhs were allowed to stand for the whole game.
  6. Released as a young pro by us in 2010. Has been in the US. Dont think he ever played first team for anyone over here. Was in the same group as Millar
  7. Doubt they would announce it without it being tied up. We shall see.
  8. I was amazed how many fouls that you normally see given we're let go by the ref yesterday. That's ok until something major happens as a result of one of the non decisions. also How far offside did Weston look for that chance in the first half?Watched the rest of the programme and wolves third goal was sublime. Also let's hope the dons keeper brings the same kicking game with him on Tuesday - awful backpass though.
  9. Barry Jack it in. Everyone on here wants someone to be in your positon on the board Everyone on here thinks they could do it better than you A majority think you’re crap at it. Some think you’re in the chairman's pocket Some think you’re making a butty out of it You are right that you can never win ( have I just contradicted myself?) You seem to imply that some of us on here would like to replace you, I think you are wrong. We are quite happy to criticise you from afar. Before you gained your lofty position I stood in front of you in the Lookers and listened to you shouting crap. You may remember me, I stood in front of you shouting crap. The difference is that people know who you are now, but not me ( I still shout crap)
  10. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has Based on your signature I would have thought he was enough
  11. He's been signed 5 minutes and nobody's complained he's a mate of Johnson's. Are things looking up or are most people out ?
  12. I take this personally having attended Sunderland Polytechnic wearing flares in the 1970's.
  13. Brown not in the squad according to the OS. even though it's 'the same squad as Saturday' http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/fixtures-results/match-preview/?matchid=3632224&tcmuri=956010
  14. Thanks for going and supporting the boys, Sorry its all gone pear shaped. Hope you got home ok. You should have stayed home and watched the game unfold on here. You'd have got a much clearer view of what went on,
  15. I occasionaly read articles in the Daily Mail about the field i work in (I'm a farmer). If the accuracy they show there is the same as they did in this article then I wouldn't believe it, They are journalist they lie.
  16. I do regularly look on here and wonder why I dont know all the FACTS that everyone else does. Me and you are obviously not trying hard enough.
  17. I would suggest Chesterfield FA Cup away about 1971 lost 3 - 0 Snow. yellow ways coach, Aged 12, First away trip on my own, Stuck in Buxton. Didnt phone mum. Got back into Oldham half eleven, Phoned Auntie to ask dad to pick me up .Bollocked. Arse strapped. Grounded for life
  18. I forgot Rooney was as good as all of these. Silly me. No I didn't say that,But astute on your part. Ron Futcher Ian Marshall Maurice Whittle
  19. Id say Philly might be better. He wasn't on the pitch . See above
  20. OK lets start a list of the players who would never have kicked another ball for Latics if they had missed a penalty For starters Ritchie
  21. good first 15 now sounds like we are under the cosh
  22. Absolutely crucial 3 points after the debacles against Colchester and Shrewsbury, we have to win games at home against the lower teams. Stevenage targeted our danger players, Petrasso and Philiskirk by closing them down immediately but you can't do that for 90 minutes and we should have made better use of the space in the last 15 minutes. They had no quality except Morais and some of their passing was dreadful. I didn't think our shape did Mellor any favours and I thought he did as well as he possibly could against Morais and still managed to get forward. Smith was excellent but I'm not sure about Harkins as I think there is a danger we may have to carry him for large parts of games - we shall see. Pleased for Oxley with a clean sheet at last, he made some smart saves. Final point for the referee, I thought he was excellent. I dont have a view on the sending off as I didnt see it but I think he didn't get a decision wrong. His spot of Dayton being held for the free kick routine was impressive and I even liked that he booked Oxley from 50 yards away rather than waste even more time by running back to the box like most refs do. Onwards and upwards.
