  16. BBC reporting that Southampton had a 25% sell on clause with Spurs for Bale but that they renegotiated it a few years back when they were in financial difficulties. I assume they didn't get 25% of 85 million.
  17. whoooo, very impressive. Can picture Frank now in the main stand watching him on a cold November night. So does this mean Tarky or Byrne to be offsky or is it just the addition of the final defender that we were needing?
  18. Whilst I would agree that Baxter is probably worth a lot more than we are going to get for him or is in his release clause, the point is that on that Saturday morning back in January before he signed a new contract he was worth bugger all. If he'd said 'ok I'll sign but my release clause is a pork pie and a packet of crisps' our choice was like it or lump it. If we have agreed what most think is a knock down fee as a release clause then that is the price we have paid for keeping him for the rest of last season which to be honest I am happy with and didn't expect to happen in January. By the way on that Saturday lunch time when most people thought we had seen the last of him I was told the agreed fee was £50K.
  19. Bloody hell that's impressive, i only wanted his name and you've got him signed up!
  20. Seems promising, he looked something special; ‏@Matt_Chambers_ One bit that didn't make it into today's paper is that the on-trial centre-back is still at oafc. So is Paul Rachubka. The midfielder isn't. sorry, I've forgotten. Did we know who he was?
