Not very often I find myself vehemently agreeing with government policies, but I must say I think this would be a brilliant law to introduce and I believed everyone would feel the same. Then I saw some guy from pro smoking group forrest on the news saying it was rubbish, fair enough I thought, he would say that seeing as he represents the smoking lobby. Then I read some lib dem saying it was a rubbish idea, fair enough, I thought, he is a lib dem pleb. But smoking isn't banned everywhere is it? I also don't actually see anyone saying that it is the sole reason not to go. But when going to the match is so expensive plus you can no longer stand up, plus you get frowned upon for singing or having a laugh and then you can't even go outside for a snout? No, I don't smoke that much, and never in front of my lad who comes to games with me. At Notts County they even open an exit gate at HT. The phrase 'typical Latics' gets banded about a lot, but in this instance where a small amount of common sense thinking is required, Latics' attitude of a blanket ban with no further thought or effort input, it is rather apt.
