Its the same as any job you take on enough staff when demand is there? if staff do not perform on a regulor basis there asked to leave. Lucky enoough the turnstile operators are sound bunch and alot of them have been doing it for sometime. Same with stewards while we have low crowds and unless its a big following or a team that may course potential disorder such as Millwall, Cardiff or more local sides such as Carlise or Tranmere (where the idiots like to come out) you can staff up extra. However like most companies Latics are trying to cost cut also save money, i do not like the idea of fans being shoved to the Chaddy but can see the idea behind it from a saving money pespective.

Thing is staff our split into two catogries, one is full time staff, others are causal matchday staff near enough all of these are Oldham fans who people who use it as a second job some do other clubs. Casual staff can easly be replaced and while gates are in decline the club can reduce these numbers. Its the everyday staff you want to look after the ticket office, club shop, cleaners, players etc.

Am sound if am honest i get paid weekly anyway more p**sed about not being paid my dividends at work. To be fair what money i get goes towards my away trips. Its the ticket office staff i worry about the full timers. Although i did look on ebay about selling a kidney or a potential Josh Ollerenshaw style rant

Not just the players who have not been paid Stewards, Turnstile operators have not been paid either. Guessing office staff at Boundary Park wont have done also.

So if selling Stephans results in us paying there wages keeping us out of administration till next season guessin it had to be done.

Good post i am dissapointed to see him go, as you say this young lad has some Premiership experince, also last few games he has played Jones has started to look better more acrtive in games. Plus Abalimba has looked ok in the reserves

Colchester have never been really good supported, in the Championship look at there crowds work out how much of that was brought from larger supporting away sides. Personally i think a Tuesday night game, against a side on a poor run of form, they themselves not playing well also always gonna be a low number. Although no live Champions League football is no excuse.

What we are missing i think is a bit of creativity. People will slate Reid but i have been impressed with him last two games and now am starting to think he his looking more settled now. Tonight he had a good chance like on Saturday found some good posistions and some nice touches. Second half he did seem to drift out the game more but once he scores i think he will come good. First half we had three great chances one by Lee, by Reid and by Jones. Furman had a good chance just before they scored. Think some of it is just down to luck and maybe focus on shooting in training.

I do not want to see him sacked at all. I want him to be given time to build a team. I have said all year top ten will do me. Despite us losing tonight we are still playing good football compared to 12 months ago ok so we lose and did not play aswell as on Saturday. But still put in a decent performance give him time. World was not built in day.

The following season the competiton was to be expanded played at both Stalybridge and Radciffe Boro, with Celtic and Rangers youth team plus the China youth team.
