  3. Just a quick note finished work an hour ago rain been heavy started at 2am and not stopped since. Another Rochdale?
  4. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...own/9346787.stm Roy Keane leaves role as Ipswich manager Ipswich boss Roy Keane Former Sunderland boss Keane took over as Ipswich boss in April 2009 Roy Keane has left his job as Ipswich manager after 20 months at Portman Road, BBC Sport understands. The club have suffered seven losses in nine games and the 1-0 defeat by Nottingham Forest on Monday left the club 19th in the Championship table. Ipswich, backed by multi-millionaire Marcus Evans, have invested £8m on players during Keane's reign. The 39-year-old Irishman led Town to the semi-final of the Carling Cup where they will play Arsenal. The first leg of their last four clash against the Gunners is due to take place at Portman Road on Wednesday, 12 January, although Keane's replacement will first have to contend with an FA Cup third round tie at Chelsea on Sunday. Speaking after the home defeat by Forest on Monday the former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland midfielder, said: "I'm doing my best and if my best isn't good enough, then I'll take the consequences. "I don't expect you to be giving me phone calls if I do lose my job. It's the nature of the game." Former Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday, Wigan and Derby manager Paul Jewell is rumoured to be in contention to take over at the Suffolk side. Jewell has been out of work since resigning as manager of the Rams, after a 1-0 defeat by Ipswich, at the end of 2008. Ipswich have called a press conference for 1100 GMT.
  5. every referee at every level gets awarded points however only works if both teams give low marks and simliar points and not dismissing one another. Otherwise it will get dismissed as sour grapes unless there accessor pulls them up.
  6. Could be to do with him wanting Brooke to get back to full fitness.
  7. Ok but who else are we going to play in goal other than Fleming? seems alot of fans want Brill to fail before a ball been kicked. Still Dickov we trust.
  8. Good to see people defending Dean Brill, yes he has made errors in the past and his liable to mistakes, but so is all keepers. Some people are on his back before a ball has been kicked, yet like Furman he has improved his game over the last 12 months by alot and has made some vital and important saves. As mentioned above Royle, then Penny and Dickov have never had Fleming as there first choice keeper? they must see something in Brill.
  9. Still think talk about the play offs and promotion is way off the mark. (on one of the facebook pages where called title challengers) thats why fans are finding todays result as a shock, setting themselves up for a fall. Yes we do need to start putting runs together, back to back wins but just keeping aiming to stay in the top then this season building a decent footballing side should be a priority. If come may and we in with a shout of play offs yeah go for get the extra revenue and publicity.
