  1. The website says nothing to answer my question. Surly like any other fans board, trade union, council, organisation or board of directors? there should be elections of some sort.
  2. Question ever since he has become the fans representative on the board has there ever been any sort of election for a fellow supporters to either take on or run against him for the role? If the answer is no why not? surly it is in the clubs best interest to allow others to try rather than just have a closed shop and someone who just jumps everytime the owners say how high? Maybe the owners would listen to the fans more if fresh face took on the role.
  3. iF PEOPLE ARE REALLY ARSED ABOUT A postcode you could always lobby the royal mail to give that piece of land a OL postcode. Half of Saddleworth managed to convice them to allow business up there be addressed Yorkshire.
  4. Just wondered if anyone else here is going to the World cup?
  5. If i could afford it and could get a ticket then yeah but proberly be a no.
  6. To be fair to Gray away at Hartlepool he took some stick from the home fans and we was not afraid to give it back.
  7. If it was like Exeter City then yes nice design however if it means as Stevie says just gettting cramped then no.
  8. Shirts are far to overpriced and the fact the days when clubs could keep a shirt for 3 seasons have gone. Buying a season ticket is not an option for someone who has to miss a large number of midweek games due to work commitment, while the players are not performing and our owners banking on how well the national side does in the world cup as a marketing term.(yes i know its been scrapped and i think England will win)
  9. Glad you have been honest Rich but the simple fact is while matchday prices stay as high as they are at the moment, and while Penny continues to mange the team crowds will continue to drop. The sad thing is up until the Yeovil game after our recent unbeaten run i actually thought it was starting to go right for him and fans seemed to had back down on the Penny out chants. However Saturday was awful disgrace the fact we had nothing to play for either. Personally Alan Hardy should take part of the blame surly his comments about the playing budget could of waited another two weeks. Think it was after the Millwall or Brighton Rich you said Penny would go i said there and then he would not be sacked and i still think it now a choice of two things. 1. Season tickets sales remain crap club sacks Penny with transfer budget, lets bring Richtie back bums back on seats but he has no transfer money we rely on loans and freebies. 2. We stick with Penny he has a small transfer budget but we expect much of the same next season. I agree with Garcon Barry Owen has to take part the blame why he his still the fans representative on the board i do not know. Even more so why there has never been some sort of election for his posistion i do not know. We may not have many long term debts reality is that makes it easier for the TTA to put us into administration because it will be the easier option for them.
  10. Oldham do offer members of the armed forces entry to the match at a concession price as long as there provide proof.
  11. So please explain where the stewards responsible or the fights and scuffles around Sinclair square in Manchester?
  12. Dissapointed in 2006 they marketed the fact the Masters was being played during the world cup. Poor excuse and the fact a few drunken idiots from both Oldham and Burnley wanted a scrap has cost the majority of our fans a great day out.
  13. The lad looks promising however i would get him to sign him a deal and maybe send him out on loan for 3 months next year to say maybe Macclesfield or a conference team say Alty. Somewhere where he can find his feet get fitter and find his goal scoring boots.
  14. Only just seen this thread now to think next season we could have far fewer local games than we have now if Huddersfield, Leeds go up Trannies go down with Stockport.
  15. Bournemouth, Bristol Rovers, Exeter (if STAY UP) Plymouth, Swindon Southampton and Yeovil. Off the top of my head i cannot remember the last time we beat South Western side away from home.
  16. Well my flight is cancelled anyone going down one option is to get a mega bus to London from Manchester £8 and then a meag train from Waterloo to Southampton for £6 its also quicker and cheaper than a direct coach from Manchester to Southampton.
  17. I really do think Scholes wants to at some point play for us, however i think he does not want to drop down to league 1 where he proberly get kicked and battered each game. However am sure if we got in the Championship he proberly would drop a level where the standard is ok. Pretty sure one of the reasons Sol Campbell left Notts County he believed despite all the money he proberly felt he had alotmore to offer at a higher level.
  18. Funny enough me and 2 other Oldham fans where chatting about this against Milton Keynes. Subject was after Rochdale come up who would be the longest serving team in League 2. The answer would of been Darlington however seen as thyey got relegated the next longest serving team is Macclesfield and Lincoln both went up had a season in what was division 2 and went back down 1998/99 and have stayed in the basement league since. All other teams in that division have either been promoted or had a relegation from that division.
