  4. A Bury fan on another site says they no longer need to sell money from sell on clauses such as Nugent keeping them going, but knowing Bury money talks.
  5. Qualified ten years ago stopped referee in 2000. Thats was when you passsed your class 3 and could do your Class 2 without having refereed a game. All changed now different levels, rules etc if your passionate about the game go for it. Personally i like to see mandatory that it is included in the level 1 qualification and all Premier League and football league players should have to take it.
  6. Sums up no matter how rich City are they are still obessed with Oldham.

A Leicester fan claims when they returned on a ferry there passports where took off them no reason given. Another fan summed it up the FA only want Kids, Families and Ethnic Minorities to follow England.
  16. The other day i was looking to purchase tickets for our game at Yeovil by train when i asked about cheap tickets and they never seem to be on sale on Weekend. She says if there is a big football match they not like to sell them cheap. Seems the beautiful game is no longer beautiful.
  17. http://www.blackpool.vitalfootball.co.uk/a...le.asp?a=512409 Stockport Won't Stand In Gannon's Seaside Path EA Sports Stockport County's Chief Executive Mark Maguire has today said that the club won't stand in manager Jim Gannon's way if he wants to join Blackpool. Speaking to the Manchester Evening News Maguire said 'Jim has an incredible record as a manager and I have spoken to Jim and made it clear that if he wants to further himself we will understand.' 'We all respect what he has achieved here, but if a club with a structure and finances that meet his ambitions comes in he will go with our blessing.' The 40 year-old has been manager at Edgeley Park for three seasons, and in that time has spared The Hatters from relegation to the Conference, whilst last season leading his team to Playoff glory at Wembley. In remarkable parallels to 'Pool's recently departed manager Simon Grayson, Gannon holds the County club record for consecutive wins - which stands at nine. Not only this, but the team didn't conceed a goal in that period, so hold the Football League record for consecutive clean sheets as well. It is rumoured that the Stockport gaffer is on a shortlist of five at Bloomfield Road to replace Larry, but whether Blackpool have the structure and finances to meet Gannon's ambition is another question, with the stadium half built and training ground a mess. His team currently sit 7th in League One, having defied all odds this season - keeping the pace with fellow promoted clubs MK Dons and Peterborough, and Gannon has also been linked with the vacant managerial post at Derby County.
  18. Found this link on another site and the Stockport fan there basically saying the club is now skint and they expect Gannon to leave. Here is the article anyway does not mention them being skint make your own mind up. http://www.stockportcounty.com/page/Latest...1508891,00.html CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT Posted on: Mon 05 Jan 2009 Stockport County's success this season, under the guidance of Jim Gannon and his group of elite young players, building on the remarkable achievements of the past two years, have inevitably led to much speculation about the future. However, the club wishes to make clear that the reality remains the same. The recent success has been built upon the development of young players who will, inevitably, attract interest from clubs at a higher level. And if serious offers are made, which are in the best interests of the player and the club, then these offers will be accepted; like any other club we have to balance our ambition with the financial reality of our existence. Likewise, Jim Gannon's three-year managerial record, which has seen him take the club from the brink of relegation to the Conference to seventh place in League 1, will also, inevitably, attract interest from higher-placed clubs. If an opportunity arises for Jim to manage at a higher level then we are duty bound to help him achieve his deserved rewards. We would also like to confirm, though, that no enquiries for Jim or any of his players have been made. County Chairman, Martin Reid, said: "Jim deserves the compliment of being associated with available jobs in the Championship and, as a club, Stockport County would support him wholeheartedly in securing a move which his achievements merit. "However, Jim remains County manager. He is fully committed and has a comprehensive plan to remain competitive in League 1and help take the club forward in these challenging financial times."
  19. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...le/7811859.stm Rochdale clubs hold merger talks Rochdale Officials from football side Rochdale AFC and rugby league's Rochdale Hornets have held talks over a proposed merger. Details were discussed at a meeting last week, as Rochdale AFC look at the possibility of taking over the running of the cash-strapped Hornets. National League Two side Hornets have been served with an Inland Revenue winding-up order for £55,000. Rochdale AFC chairman Chris Dunphy told BBC Radio Manchester: "I've been trying to put together a plan." "It explores the possibility of keeping the name Rochdale Hornets alive. From what little information I do know, it does seem they are struggling at the moment. "Really, it is just a case of having a contingency plan - if they do fail in managing to keep the club alive - then we can explore the possibility of keeping the club alive in Rochdale," he continued.
  20. I would not worry until Friday plus be more worried about Hereford being called having already paid for my rail tickets.
